Jason Sudeikis plays Ted Lasso, a small-time college football coach from Kansas hired to coach a professional soccer team in England, despite having no experience coaching soccer.
In addition to starring, Sudeikis serves as executive producer, alongside Bill Lawrence (“Scrubs”) via his Doozer Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television, a division of NBCUniversal Content. Doozer’s Jeff Ingold also serves as an executive producer with Liza Katzer as co-executive producer. The series was developed by Sudeikis, Lawrence, Joe Kelly and Brendan Hunt, and is based on the pre-existing format and characters from NBC Sports.

I am saddened and at the same time proud of the decision of the creators of this series to end it. You didn't ruin the show by dragging it out for seasons that no longer make sense. The mood created by "Ted Lasso" is something unique. Thank you for that. And please try to shoot something else with a similar mood. As an American who's been fortunate enough to travel, "Ted Lasso" perfectly makes fun of and celebrates American tourists. Americans get a bad rap because, like Ted, we're often ignorant of the culture we're visiting but, like Ted, we also are able to win people over with our friendliness, optimism, and general excitement for being in another country.

Just finished watching the last episode of the 3rd season. What an amazing series. I laughed so hard and shed a few tears too, but for all the right reasons, and from the first episode of season 1 right through to the last episode of season 3. Great writing, great acting and many interesting twists n' turns as well. So good that I'm now spoiled for anything even slightly mediocre which, comparatively speaking, is most other series it seems. Apple TV's "Lessons In Chemistry" was excellent too, highly recommend.
