"eco-conscious timber facade" on the multi-level carpark at an airport. nice.
  • @yaakovgrunsfeld
All of this with no upgrade to public transportation to the airport
  • What jfk needs is better connection to the subway, not more space for cars. Car dependency causes more problems In a city as dense as NYC. The airtrain runs like every 10 minutes and it's $9/pp to take it to the subway. It's absurd
  • @pullahuru9168
12 hour flight + 4 hours waiting in queue for two customs officers checking papers for 300 people coming from the same flight = jfk

0:11 Laguardia is like “Haha thankfully that’s no longer us” 😂
  • @Emesh83
Awesome. The JFK Mall is being upgraded. More ultra expensive restaurants and shops. And even a few extra gates for the secondary function as an airport.
  • @Scottagram
Very exciting sponsor, I've been looking for a company to overhaul my billion dollar airport
  • @TheLiamster
I’d love to see LIRR trains stop directly at the airport one day instead of at Jamaica and that a tunnel would get built from Atlantic Terminal to the WTC or Fulton Street station. It would allow a one seat ride directly to Manhattan without having to go on the AirTrain
  • @rejotalin
Still, the main problem with the airport is getting to it. It is an absolute nightmare and a waste of time, which means money.
  • @azrobbins01
Does putting wood on the outside of a parking garage make it eco-friendly? You say "Rainwater harvesting system", I hear "storm drains."
  • @dascandy
Don't fill swimming pools with square meters. Fill them with cubic meters.
  • @okjoe5561
JFK Airport is not owned by New York City. It is run by the Port Authority, which is 50% owned by New York state and 50% by New Jersey.
  • @invinciblemode
No mention of reducing car dependency and introducing direct subway lines to the terminals = 100% FAILURE!
  • bad accessibility from the city to the airport, isn't that the case for JFK, la Guardia and Newark, all important airports in and around the city all together? It's poor enough for me to choose the taxi over any train in NYC when going to or from the airport. A direct connection from Manhattan, without the need to change the train to get to the airport, would be the standard I'd expect from a city as large and important as NYC is
  • @jodidoherty4932
"But that's all about to change" must be the most used term on this channel. Along with jokes around the word "boring". :)
  • @davex_sh
With the new JFK logo, I thought they were opening a new IKEA store in the airport ....
  • @timokho20
7:24 Eco friendly wood veneer? Little john is gonna love this. No wonder it is called John Airport!
  • @mmsmits2868
And even after they do all this, the best way to get from Manhattan to JFK will still be the fixed price for a taxi. How pathetic is that? Even worse, to get from one terminal to another still requires you to go through security again. More waiting, more being treated as a presumed criminal, more wandings. The problem is not the terminals. The problem is that air travel has become a hate-filled, anger-and-anxiety-inducing experience. Why not fix that first?
