Decided to return to the abandoned Nestor Glass Plant in East St Louis due to the fact my first video had an overexposure issues through out the entire video.

Built in 1894 in East St Louis. Glass prescription vials, beer bottles, as well as other items were made here. Part of this building was also the powerplant but not it's sole purpose.

Still unsure what year it was abandoned but I definitely think it was worth it for me to revisit as the quality of this video is vastly superior. Such an awesome abandoned factory to explore!

New urban exploring location in the next video. This wasn't the only place I checked out that day!

  • This is the former Obear-Nester Glass Co. My Mom worked there for some time and I have a picture of her with friends, but I have never seen the inside. They made medicine bottles. My Mom got ONE ten-minute break all day. And she walked to work ( miles) in a dress, hat, and high heels. The hat got put in a locker with her lunch. Thank you for doing this.

I believe that was overnester Glass factory number one at one time. I think they had three separate glass making facilities in the city of East St. Louis
  • Always always be careful when going through old buildings such as this! Never know when it'll just collapse ive seen it happen before. Stay safe!

  • Love your videos! I loved Urban Exploring; I did not enjoy exploring on my own.

I have the bottom piece of a bottle from this factory that says "N 13A 73 BN-1029". A little shard of the wall of the bottle is still intact that says"NO DEPOSIT ⭐️". It is beer bottle brown. If anyone knows what type of bottle it is and the date let me know.
  • Be very glad you did not explore this building entirely, there is a staircase going down seen at 2:31 that leads to a (possibly illegal) stash of unknown substances, not any sort of drugs but its possible it could be hundreds of barrels containing toxic waste.

East St. Louis, build a 30 foot wall, fill with concrete, it’s over.
