  • I had a Yamaha Pacifica. The lowest end model. That guitar stayed in tune better than any other guitar iv'e ever owned. And I'm talking $2k plus guitars. You could dive-bomb and pull on the trem like a lunatic and it would NEVER go out of tune. I don't know what sorcery Yamaha is using to build those things, but I highly recommend the Pacifica.

  • Your videos are so wholesome and positive. I never see you talking trash about brands or guitars, play styles out anything really. There's always a bright side of things with you :) keep on going.
  • @akwinter
Schecter Guitars are underrated and need to be more recognized for their quality and value
  • Darrell. Love your stuff. Sometimes you play a clean bit when you test guitars. Please do that more - distortion tends to make guitars sound very similar.
  • Here are some of my favourite guitars that won't break the bank! Enjoy Let me know if you guys have any high quality quality guitars that didn't cost and arm and a leg!!
  • I completely agree for the Ibanez. Tried it in a shop, was amazed by the finish quality and the sound. Bought it.
  • I've bought Yamaha Pacifica 112J for about 118USD in my country indonesia, 11 years ago and its been my main guitar on stage . Its still sounds good tho and i only change the tuner machine. And i agree that yamaha pac112j are worth the money even on its cheap price tag (pardon my english hehe 😅). Keep playing darrell! Much respect from indonesia 🤙🤙
  • @banjoved
Darrell & Phillip Mc are the only guitar experts I watch anymore. Most of the other guitar videos are amateurish and sometimes full of erroneous information. I really respect these two guys’ opinions.👍🏼
  • @blpitts11
I said it last video but I’ll say it again: that red and gold gretsch is gorgeous
  • Always a pleasure listening to you play Darrell.
  • I like how you actually take the cheap guitars for what they are and don't slate them or compare them to a guitar 10x the price
  • i wish you test all this guitars in a clean amp, for my ears all sound the same
  • @Luthiart
I was expecting the Classic Vibe '50s Tele to make an appearance. That guitar is CRAZY freakin' good.. And not just good "for the money", either. I'll take one over an MIM any day.
  • I have to tell you, I had the itch to buy a PRS SE, but I came across a used Schecter Damien FR with EMG 61/65 pickups for under $300 that was amazing! Schecter is a high value guitar brand.
  • @darwinia8
G&L Tribute series guitars are also an outstanding value. You can find them used with G&L American pickups for c. $300. Polish up the frets and you've an instrument that, IMO, equals if not rivals an American Fender Tele or Strat. Good hunting.
