the line 'i'm grateful you're my father/daughter more than anything' always hits me in the feels as someone who lost his father as a child

Charlie and Lucifer’s voice’s are so beautiful 🤩😻🥹😭😭

Anyone else notice in the actual video that Lucifer looked afraid when the angels and spears around him pointed to Charlie and the background went all red? Then he pulled her away from the red light. Has he been scared that Heaven will turn their attention to Charlie now that she's trying to change things, like he tried to before being cast out?
  • This song is so angelic. Lucifer really cares for Charlie and just wants her to stay safe. Jeremy and Erika really put so much family emotion in this song.

"I'll shelter and adore u more than anything" got me on the floor crying
  • As a Father, I can't tell you how much I love my daughter. This song makes me cry every time I hear it.

Lucifer may not be the best father ever, but this song really shows how much he cares for Charlie, and how much Charlie cares for him. Side Note: I really heard Jeremy Jordan’s channel his inner Varian in this song.🎶 🎵 👍👍

I absolutely love how they depicted Lucifer. Charlie and Lucifer's song absolutely blew me away with how much the voice actors embody these roles. They passionately put their heart and soul into said songs and vocals. I absolutely love how they depicted Lucifer as a caring and loving father who, albeit he has trouble connecting to his daughter and is a bit of a goofball, still loves Charlie no matter what and wants to believe in her vision. Still, he sees himself in her and doesn't want her crushed under Heaven's laws/ruthlessness. But despite how scared he is and how much of a failure he feels like, his daughter brings out his hope once again and sees his dream live on through her vision to redeem sinners, so of course, he'd be willing to do anything he can to support her and try and convince Heaven sinners can be redeemed. Jeremy Jordan and Erika Henningson both did a phenomenal job
  • That was beautiful. Lucifer isn’t prefect. He’s put distance between his daughter in recent times, he’s awkward and he’s scared. Through all that, he still cared for Charlie enough to give her a chance to fight the way he had a chance to fight. A new chance is born through her passion and ambition.

reading these comments makes me feel lucky to have a father who adores me as much as lucifer loves charlie

"I missed that smile," ll This line hits hard

When Charlie said "You don't know that!" I hate that I was surprised that Lucifer didn't say "I'm the only one who knows that" Damn you Thanos! 😭
  • I've never had a family that made me feel like they love me as much as Lucifer loves Charlie, so this song has me sobbing like a baby, honestly
