Makes you understand how broken Garp is when he became one of most powerful fighters in the world with just his fists and Haki.
  • Another Logia user with an awakening that I believe exists is actually Crocodile, though the concept of awakening didn’t really exist during the Alabasta arc. At one point, Crocodile mentions training your devil fruit abilities to reach a new level, then proceeds to show how he can suck the moisture from anything to create more sand. I believe that was an awakening ability since he is not producing that sand from his body, but is rather converting something else into sand similarly to how Doflamingo’s awakening allowed him to covert other materials into string.

The One Piece world does have a very interesting power system in it mainly because they can either be used to counter the other or be utilized with each other.

I was always under the impression that Logia users were passively intangible and that's what made them so dangerous (you can't just surprise them). It also made Luffy very confusing, since he's ALWAYS made of rubber and has properties of rubber despite being (initially) categorized as Paramecia.

The only other power missing here is special techniques like Minks electricity, Fishman karate, or the CP9’s 7 or 9 assassination techniques

For the observation haki skill tree, you forgot the skill that Usopp used against the little toy power girl when he was able to sense where exactly she was in the room. It wasn't future sight, he just gained spatial perception. Usopp also used it in a different way in the most recent movie, Film Red, when he and his father basically sensed each other in two different plains of existence. Not a big Usopp stan but I just remember these moments because they truly defined how skilled Usopp is and the range of observation haki usage.

I just recently started watching One Piece and so far I've gotten to Reverse Mountain (I think), but I'm already in absolute love with One Piece's worldbuilding and power system! the fact that Oda can balance so many incredible powers in the same system is just incredible to me!

Honestly, this is what I like about One Piece. Sure, you could just have one singular power system, but why not have a few more? It makes the world feel so vast, like one person discovered these fruits that give you superpowers, one person learned to use spiritual energy for three unique techniques, some people just train in martial arts and swordsmanship, and some just do a little bit of everything. It's awesome!

I have heard a counter to conquers birthright requirement. The requirements for unlocking conquers haki are very high, which means very few ever obtain it, i think there are more conquers users in the story now then there were in the timeline at the start of the series.

Let's hope voice of all things is also covered. I feel that's going to play a large part in the later story as a power system
  • @vermilionrubin
I'm surprised special techniques like Rokushiki weren't mentioned, they feel more like a power System than weapons and science, which are more of an external additions to personal strength. Also unrelated, but now that I think about it, Conqueror's Haki sounds like a mix between the basic two forms, instead of strengthening your physical body, or sensing presence of others, you strengthen your own presence.

Vegapunk has definitely made the best use out of his brain, he literally has made inventions enough to blow up islands and armies of literal cyborgs that are invincible before the new world, his inventions prove that he can make use of anything and everything
  • @geogeo3733
There are also martial arts as the 5th power system; Rokushiki / Fishman Karate / Hasshoken
  • What about the Rokushiki? Dude, those powers were huge when introduced and still a significant analysis of a fighter even in the most recent chapters.
  • @dxjxc91
I was hoping you would talk about how various characters are able to use fire attacks without fire powers (Luffy, Sanji, kinemon, and a handful of enemies). Is it a haki power? What about the mink's electro powers? What about the navy's 6 powers? What about martial Arts and sword techniques that seem to be able to bend the elements to their whim (like fishman karate or anything Zoro does)? Is that haki or something else?
  • @aquaphoenix200
You forgot to mention the six powers that the marines and cipher pol use
  • Idk if anyone brought it up before, but the power used to wipe out Lulusia Kingdom could be a satellite, since the world of One Piece is set in a world that sorta went back in time technologically maybe Satellites were a thing back then and Imu, the person that lived in that Era still has access to it, it would explain also why the WG is looking for an energy source like the Mother Flame
  • Okay there's a couple of things missing from Haki. First about Armament, though this is a bit debatable, but it can be used to perform techniques beyond reinforcement like Kinemon's fire techniques, Fishman Karate that can be learned by humans, Dragon drill techniques (that work as shockwaves similar to the powers of the gura-gura). here are a lot of strange moves that dont seem fully reliant of physical skill. The second is about Conqueror's Haki: one doesn't necessarily has to be born with it, in fact *nobody is*, it's just that it cannot be trained like the others it is gained by sheer ambition. Everyone with it was ready to pick a fight with the whole world or had a goal that went far beyond themselves, in some way at least. Kaido and Linlin both wanted to take over the world but Luffy wants to party and Zoro just wants to be the best. All of them have conquerors. Conqueror's can also be lost, apparently Katakuri lost his after having some high impact character development

Just getting into One Piece and this was SUPER informative! Thank you!
