Can you play a different angle of the steel being cut? That’s the same clip 47 other reports have shown

The Chesapeake water ways and the Port of Baltimore are some of the best run waters in the world. The bay is well marked and well maintained and the crews there are of the best in the country. That they opened a channel in under a week comes as no surprise to this Baltimorean and sailor on the Chesapeake. They're simply the best.

They can always find a way to correct a problem, that's good to hear.

Hi CBS News, I am a retired marine operations specialist from EXXON, that operation up in the port of Baltimore is far more complicated than what you have been thinking it is, in my opinion should be considered and treated as a national emergency, please understand I am not saying this was a terrorist attack, but it is comparable to the attack on the twin towers back in 2001, the spot of the collision between the M/V Dali and the Francis Scott Key bridge is actually ground zero, but on the waters. If you may pass my message to the governor of Maryland, you need to have in place more cranes, a team of marine surveyors , lots of divers, a number of dredges, and a lot of help from small boats for the clean up of the channel and the removal of the tons of debris from under and on the waters. We used a fleet of 300 small boats for the clean up operations after the Exxon Valdez oil spill up in Prince William Sound and in the anchorage bay area in 1989, bst rgs

What caused the ship to lose power? Or y’all tell us to wait for the two year NTSB report and give no thought to other ships around the world that mysteriously lost their ability to turn.
-
I pretty they are extremely professionals working the cleaning crew and it makes sense picking up bigger pieces of bridge to expedite the job process
-
5 mins of the same thing being said in different words
-
How hard is it to dredging a new channel and remove the unaffected section of the bridge? Like how we build hydro power. Redirect the water to potentially newly dredge section of the river?
-
Dutch engineerings are the best in the world for doing this kind of job
-
Coming soon we will build the bridge again 😊😊

Whos paying all the workers ????

John, you and Charlie were the best moderators on CBS This Morning. I might include Norah, but we all know she's not really a nice person inside. Besides also being very self promoting, Gayle belongs on "The View", not a newsy show. I very much liked you on Face the Nation, but Margaret has it now. You were more pleasant, but she's a tiger. I'm often afraid.😬 That aside, what are people saying about their plans to rebuild the Key Bridge? Will they make it longer so large dolphins can be added and accomodate larger ships? Will they widen the deck to add more lanes for increased automobile traffic in the future? How do they envision the future Key Bridge?

1000 ton cranes . Isn‘t there any serious crane ship in the USA , like the Sleipnir from Heerema here in the Netherlands ? The Sleipnir has two cranes who can lift 10000 tons each . 😮

6 months at least before the deep channel is opened. They are so slow to tell the public how bad this is.

This report is 2 days old

Look at photos and video.uprighting the Oklahoma at pearl harbor.80 years ago.winches turned over a 28 thousand ton ship.just drag all the pieces to clear a path.then drag them out
-
Use a bit of Aussie ingenuity get all of the tugs in the port hook them to the downed structures pull em out of the way and reopen the shipping lanes
-
Temporary means nothing. Come clean & Admit it will take about a year to open the DEEP channel. I mean C'mon!!!!!!!!!!!

0:32 I swear Americans use anything for measurement except metric.
