You forgot to mention that the battery pack should be pushed in and twisted. Locked in place. This has been causing many people issues with their lightsabers because there is a spring that pushes back on the battery pack. Tightening the pommel helps, but locking the pack in place is best for it.

Oh no IVE BEEN FIGHTING WITH THE BATTERY FOR 20 MINUTES, THEN I TWISTED IT, AND IT JUST FELL OUT, but thank you very helpful

Thanks for the video. My lightsaber was making noises even though it was in off mode. I guess the company that makes smoke detectors to go off in the middle of the night when the batteries are low are the same ones that make these lightsabers. My saber was making weird wailing sounds every so often.

I wish I could post the look of joy on my sons face when his lightsaber worked again! He’s 5 years old and the Savi’s experience was one of his favorite parts of Disney. He thought he broke his lightsaber because it stopped working. And after we watched this video and fixed it together he was so happy!

i had gone to Savi's Workshop in February and in late March I couldn't get my Lightsaber to work. I didn't realize it could be the batteries since we just got it. Upon realizing it was the batteries your video was a life saver so thank you. My heart skipped a beat when after replacing the batteries my Lightsaber lit up. Thank you for the video!!

Got a Savi's Lightsaber in August 2021 at Disneyland... The pack is held in place by a couple of grooves with an L on the inside of the handle and small protrusions on the battery pack. To remove the battery pack you need to push the battery pack in gently and turn it counter-clockwise about 1/8 of a turn to unlock it from the L. It will then pop out partway, and you can slide it out the rest of the way.

Thanks to you and Dan (below). I had my saber conk out after a few months...probably not the batteries, but proper alignment with the power source. In any case, fresh batteries and "repack" and good to go!

I had been thinking about this recently. But my worry had been about getting the batteries out so they don't leak over time. I had some bad experiences with Gameboys in that regard. So thank you for an easy to follow guide.

Omg. Thank you! My lightsaber was making noise on its own. Scared the heck out of me! Friends were joking that it was calling to me. Haha. Turns out, the batteries were low! Love how they hide them really keeping with the fantasy. But seriously confusing when it's been over a year since you built it. Thanks again!
