I guess you could say that Virgil's power level was Miles above Spider-Man, and even though he put up a good show, his defeat at Virgil's hands wasn't really a Shock.

Fun fact: In the comics Static has never been shown to "run out of juice". That only happens in the show. In fact, in the comics his body recharges on it's own so he doesn't need an external source like he does in the show.

The coolest scene in this is when virgil lost his arm and use electricity to put it back on while electricity in his eyes. So badass.

Minor correction: Pete didn't sense Miles while camouflage because his spider sense didn't recognize him as a threat. Doesn't mean he can't be detected. Peter in that same comic didn't know about Miles venom blast and wasn't trying to hurt him, nor was Miles vice versa. The scuffle was a misunderstanding and they were trying to interrogate each other. Calling that loss "beating the crap out of Peter" is stretching it.

The sole point, with an emphasis on said only thing, that would make this episode higher on my top ten Death Battle episodes, is if they put Vergil's catchphrase right before he finished off Miles. Here's the exact part I mean @ 15:03. Static: Plasma coil. If you haven't noticed, this electric biz is kinda my thing. Care to guess why?! 'Cause the name... is.. STATIC!!! (Virgil smiles as he begins charging his ultimate attack, the Nova Burst.) And I'm about to put a shock to yo' system. Miles: Aw man...
