This is how the Grinch (Jim Carrey) pulled off the ultimate heist and stole Christmas...

How The Grinch Stole Christmas: He's mean, he's green, and he doesn't like the Yuletide season one bit. Jim Carrey stars as the title character in this live-action adaptation of the classic children's story by Dr. Seuss. High atop Mt. Crumpet, The Grinch observes the residents of Whoville joyously preparing to celebrate Christmas. He decides he's had enough of all this happiness, and conspires to steal Christmas from Whoville! A fascinating film filled with Academy Award nominated sets and Academy Award winning make-up that perfectly captures the unique look of Dr. Seuss' world. A true holiday classic!

I love how the Grinch literally tells the narrator to lower his voice while he steals things.

Something that I think would have been funny is if they had included the line from the book about how Cindy Lou Who was "no more than two", and then she would look and say "I'm seven and a half, thank you very much!"

0:50-0:57 He's planning a double twisting interrupted forward-flying 2 1/2 with a combo tuck and pike. High degree of difficulty

I like how they had the Grinch get stuck for a moment or two the moment he dives into the chimney. Of course, I knew the bit starting at 1:36 was already unrealistic, as it's certain moth CATERPILLARS that eat clothes, not the adult moths themselves. But of course, caterpillars are slower, so it wouldn't work as well on film. Heh, it was funny how the Grinch hid behind the tree when putting on his Santa Claus lie to Cindy Lou, to make it more plausible compared to the book and the animated Chuck Jones version.
  • Both the live action Grinch movie and the live action Cat In The Hat movie are by far the best live action Dr. Seuss film adaptations. I'm not a huge fan of the Illumination animated Dr. Seuss films that we got after Audrey Geisel forbidden future live action Dr. Seuss adaptations on Ted's work because sometimes they can be misguided to the books, the animated TV specials and the first two live action Dr. Seuss films. I mean they did OK but they are not as good as the first three I was telling you about. Because with Horton Hears a Who, The Lorax and The Grinch reboot they all have tons of problems along with some animation errors and terrible voice acting. Unlike those three these two live action Dr. Seuss films worked so well they're actually hilarious. After all both the live action Grinch movie and the live action Cat In The Hat movie are like a cartoon world come to life where you have one world where it's Christmas all the time with a backstory of The Grinch, The Mayor and Martha May when they were kids and another world where it's like Austin Powers because the sets, props and costumes are bright and colorful. Plus they both give you a difference and comparison to both the books and TV specials. I also like Jim Carrey and Mike Myers in theses films and they both did a great job playing The Grinch and The Cat In the Hat and they are both good choices for the actors to play theses characters.
