everyone talks about Little Z's legendary video series such as "you lose you cosplay" and "deadly smash spectate" but no one brings up HopCat's greatest series, "playing ganon online with increasingly pessimistic titles and thumbnails" jokes aside tho i actually love this commentary style and i love hearing the thought process behind the ganon gameplay, because it feels like such a different mentality from playing a top tier which is interesting to learn more about

A hopcat smash bros upload was the last thing I expected on my Monday evening

I actually really enjoy this kind of video. It’s easy to watch, feels genuine, and has the same vibes as sitting on the couch watching a buddy play smash. A lot of people just enjoy watching smash, so it’s nice!

I've always been a big fan of Lythero, and honestly I've always missed his old Ranked Rambling videos where he did just this, but with MVC3. Now he does incredibly highly edited hour-long videos with real animation in them, and don't get me wrong, they're amazing! But I would 1000% still be ecstatic to see another old-style Ranked Ramblings video from him. I think it's great to hear you back just talking about your thought process. There will always be a niche for listening to experts talk about what they study.

ill go for an oldschool hopcat video every now and then. I mean i think your videos evolved great and kinda grew up with me but a bit of the nostalgia is super cool here and there. every so often I go back and watch you do a backflip everytime you lose a stock. That was one of your less sane and most fun video "ideas" barely even counts as an idea but still it worked for me.

I like this style of videos. For one, it's informative - you can learn a lot about the game just by listening to your advice. Two, it brings your attention to the game rather than the game somehow being a sideshow or distraction from some unrelated commentary. Three, it's enjoyable and entertaining to hear what someone is thinking while they are doing something, such as playing an intense game. It allows you to get a sense for how skilled people are able to do the things that they do; like listening to someone analyzing poker hands, or dissecting strategy for a play in football, or basically any Let's Play video. Even if we as an audience don't necessarily improve our skill just by watching and listening, we get to share in what it is like to be that skilled person.
