Batman was pumped with so much of that fear toxin it just wafts out of his pores now, and affect anyone near him. Like a silent fart.

Bruce knew that killing himself would amplify the fear of batman with the criminals thinking he’s dead

A hint toward this theory in the game is the thugs comment “If Bruce Wayne is Batman, who’s playing Bruce Wayne?” The answer, of course, is Batman.

Imagine how terrified the criminals are of the idea of the ghost of Batman prowling the night. It’s genius. A legend on par with Bigfoot or moth man. Something worse than Batman, something feared more, something vengeful

Crazy how this plot is way better than anything written for the last couple of movies. Such a good ending for what Batman really is.

When Scarecrow is injected with the fear toxin and hallucinates Batman, that's exactly what it is. The Toxin would of had no effect on Crane, except he just realised that Bruce Wayne is dead, and the only thing that stands before him is Batman, giving Crane his one and only fear that awoke in him at that moment.

This was probably the best ending of a video game I’ve ever played, Rocksteady did an amazing job on Arkham Knight!

The part about bruce dying then becoming joker and then coming back as BATMAN blew my mind. Thats deep.

Imagine a game where you use the fear toxin to do crazy shit like he did at the end. 100% would play.

I think probably the biggest indicator that Batman is still alive is simply the fact that he wouldn’t kill his surrogate father. Alfred was probably the closest thing he’s ever had, he wouldn’t simply let him die
