More Retro Gaming Store Fails - Your Comments!
Metal Jesus Rocks has Kelsey Lewin on his channel, discussing annoying practices of video game stores. I responded with a video and got some great comments, some of which I read here. Thanks for your feedback!

Now for some positive things that video games stores have done. I like it whenever a store puts out Nintendo 64 games and other games without end labels in a way that you can see what games are available without going through every game in the box or shelf. Not many stores do this as it would take up more space but it saves people the time of having to look through every single game.
  • I hate when retro stores charge eBay or above prices for games. When they buy games from you, it’s always much lower than what your average eBay seller would have paid. So why do they charge so much. I know this isn’t always the case but something I’ve experienced a lot. PS love the topic and keep up the great work 👍

I remember I once was at GameStop at got the game off the shelf and went to buy it and the employee told me he was going to have to give me the game in a generic black case cause it costs him 5 dollars to get a replacement. And another time at GameStop I went to make my purchase for a game and the lady tried to add warranty to the game and sign me up for there pro membership without even asking me she just tried to up charge me for things I didn’t want.

Surprising to me that neither you nor MJ mentioned this: stores that charge full Pricecharting prices for cartridges regardless of condition. Frustrating to see a $30 price tag on a cart that is virtually worthless owing to its utterly ripped and destroyed label. This practice is surprisingly common; a retro outfit (not GameStop) in your area does this in all of its 8+ stores. I’ve seen it in many smaller independent shops, too.

one thing that always drives me nuts is how, although I present as male, everyone still thinks I'm female so when I go into a game store, I get completely ignored. happens every time, even in stores for comics and card games, just because they think I'm a girl. and unaccompanied by a boyfriend/husband.

Come on, Bretty, this was clickbait and you know it. MJR's video was nothing to do with this, and he only got hits on his video because he put Kelsey on the thumbnail. It's the only way he can get hits, these days, for someone on nearly a million (mostly dead) subs.
