  • it's so good to see Rutger again. He was such a versatile and natural actor. I don't know how you got him to participate in this but thank you for letting us see him in his brilliance again. Fantastic story. The writing and direction is spot on. ❤️
  • “I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.” Rest in peace Rutger.

Anything with the great Rutger Hauer is a treat - a rare talent. He is missed by many. His memory lives on. Well done short 10/10. Makes you think about what make us...US, and what happens when our consciousness leaves our bodies or even what REALLY happens when we sleep or die. Only thing better if there was a part 2 to see what happens when the patient is in his new body.

This is so appropriate for Rutger Hauer, as similar questions of existence and memory were posed in Blade Runner by Roy Batty and the other replicants. "Did you get your precious photos?" I love this type of existential examination, and it's so good to see Rutger again. What a treat!

This is the kind of thing where SciFi really shines, ethical and moral dilemmas with futuristic piossibilities
  • R.I.P Rutger Hauer. He was like this Clone. His memories live for Ever,A DAY
  • There he is...one of my all time favourite actors! When Blade Runner came out in Germany, i was twenty and made a copy from a VHS rental cassette to a Sony Betamax. It became even darker and more sinister, loved it! The times of Billy Idol, Sade, Robert Palmer, David Bowie...unforgetable and never replicable.
  • Magnificent short film. Here we have a piece of film history, Rutger Hauer, what an incredible actor. Great all of them, really great work.
  • @phthisis
RIP Mr Hauer, who played a legendary android that helped influence the cyberpunk genre by leaps and bounds. This story is a solid existential crisis for modern audiences, and it reminds me of a Twilight Zone/Outer Limits episode where they proclaimed they'd invented teleportation to allow instant travel between worlds/stars, but in fact all they'd done is clone people at their destination while executing the original body to prevent doubles.
  • @ruipires7954
That was some very good acting to the gentlemen on the chair.I actually dropped a tear.
  • Just the name Rutger Hauer in the opening credits brought a smile to my face that lasted the duration of this entire short.
  • Wow! This was High-End, in every aspect. I wish they'd still make movies like this!
  • @daveb6214
Thank you for showing this , with the Late Great Rutger Hauer. He was truly one in a Billion, he could play anything or anyone. Godspeed Rutger G.B.N.F. Ever.
  • @NoTimeForLies
Rutger Hauer. He's the reason I watched this film. An amazing actor! Thank you everyone who made his role possible. I would like to see a behind the scenes look at how he was brought into this project and any comments he has to share. This was a really big deal and a great surprise! It just seems there should be a little more in the making to top it off. That said, this was a great film. The director and cast did an excellent job in bringing the characters to life and making the story believable. Set design, tech, lighting, special effects, camera angles. It's all there and it's all incredibly good! Thank you Dust!
  • You had me at Rutger Hauer (one of the greats), Bolliger. Pleased Mr. Hauer joined this production as he's amazing. Clones is a solid short w/a good premise, fine direction, acting, casting & more, It feels primarily like a platform for Rutger to shine upon all too briefly and then disappear....like tears in rain, leaving us wanting more.
  • @danabana8121
Beautiful work by all. I love Rutger’s entire film career. These 3 people together are just perfect. Well done. Bravo. 👏👏👏
  • @Dumptruck70
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain.
  • @lukebowers536
It was so good to see Rutger again even if only for a short while, this is one of the finest most well presented pieces on Dust yet, i was gripped by this & it left me wanting more, this has the basis for a full feature, everything was there in the right amounts from the acting to the graphics to the sound, outstanding !
  • Rutger Hauer had such talent. Heroes, villains, he did it all, and with such subtlety. He is missed, one of the great actors. Too bad he spent so much of his career (successfully) rescueing B-movies, he could do so much more.
