I bought one of these years ago and absolutely love it. Sad they discontinued it, but glad I bought one before Stanley gear became as expensive as YETI!!!

Thank you so much for this review. I was on the fence about buying this.
  • @coasthome8356
That is amazing. Did not know this was available. Thanks!

Excellent video. Thanks for the overview of the coffee system. I'm definitely picking one up!

I wondered how this product worked. Thank you for your video!

The design deficiencies that you pointed out are very valid. I hope that Stanley comes out with a 2.0 version.

I actually own this abd it's great. Also excellent, is the hot food thermos
  • I really like coffee. I really like coffee from a French press. I often grind the beans. I'm not packing a grinder out into the wilds. Oh, and put the ground coffee into the pot, then add the water. It will stir the grounds up better. Good review, dude.
  • Love Stanley stuff... I have a 70 year old Stanley thermos from my Granddad. It's huge and has a cork for a stopper! He used it for work for 33 years and I have used it all my life as well. It will also probably be used by my sons! I do have a smaller newer more modern one now that I love as well... Just good products. Sure wish they were all made in the U.S. like the old days... God Bless!

FYI to get rid of coffee stains in your thermos, fill with hot water and 2-3 denture tablets. Let sit for a few hours, then wash it out. If the stains aren't gone, repeat step one. Great on thermos style travel mugs as well.

Great review. I liked your insert with the repair and your devotion to quality freshly ground coffee. Nice style.. Also I imagine once used with coffee it better not be used with tea. Coffee taste embedded in plastic would ruin the quality of a tea beverage. Other than that - cool idea!

I have the 32oz single walled Stanley coffee press and I absolutely love it. It has the butterfly all metal handles and a full molded plastic press. Much lighter than this system and can be used as a full liter pot if you don't need to use it as a coffee press. I like the cups and place to hold your coffee beans like this does, nor does it have a thermos. But I still think it's better than this system. Thanks for showing this!
