Texan here, born and raised. Engie is my second favorite character. And you've been spot on - every song is a punch of nostalgia to me and I can 100% picture him listening to these under vastly differing conditions.
-
only issue is that there is not enough songs
-
I am kicking my feet like a schoolgirl, thank you kind stranger
-
absolutely underrated playlist
-
Engineer would definitely listen to “Big Iron” by Marty Robbins and sing it to Pyro as a bed time story.
-
I imagine Engineer singing this in New Vegas.
-
first of all, ALL of these are GREAT songs, but here are some suggestions of songs you should 100% add! - The devil wares a suit and tie, by Colter Wall - Diggin up bones by randy Travis - I told you so by Randy Travis (again) - if you're gunna play in texas by Alabama - Fishing in the dark by nitty gritty dirt band - Love without end by George Strait These are some of the BEST country songs i know.
-
Ahh the perfect playlist for engineer gaming
-
Perhaps you can do one for Soldier next? I would love to see one for Soldier.
-
I love Tennessee Whiskey. A song that brings back nostalgic times 💖👌

playin this, doing a rancho relaxo, while a spy zaps all the engie nest
-
the way you reherse the title looks caring for us engineers, thanks pyro player.
-
You forgot about Texas Sun, such a masterpiece
-
first song: engi after building a sentry for the first time
-
bro the first second of the first song already sounds like More Gun
-
Jim Croce would probably be on his playlist somewhere.

These are all new songs. Engineer was born in 1925 and the game takes place in 1968. Even If the engineer lived to hear these songs he probably wouldn't like them because they are new country pop garbage. Might as well say he would listen to "Old Town Road". He would probably listen to people like Hank Williams and Johnny Cash to name a couple. Thanks rtd

Great choices! I feel like we're missing the most obvious choice, though: Someone Else's Song, by Wilco. Literally sitting there playing the chord progression in the Meet the Engineer video :D
