I like how Gaster’s face is just a flame. He is a forgotten memory. No one actually knows what his face looks like, because the core made everyone forget who he was. These details make this comic so much better. Edit: qyasar gives a good explanation too so look at the reply section

Maybe this is too personal. This is strangely accurate to how child abuse feels. The lack of power. The control. The resilience. Even the empathy for gaster.

7:51 After watching all the seasons of Handplates, I finally understand why Gaster specifically said how he enhanced their aging so they didn’t look like children. He KNEW he had to unethically torture them, and didn’t wanna have to deal with torturing literal children. Yet, that backfired as we know, they are technically children, even if their aging is enhanced.

I love the little details in this! Like, for instance, at 22:47, on Gaster's mug, it says "World's Best Dad," but "Dad" is crossed out and replaced with "Scientist."

idk if i'm reading things wrong but i think papyrus is heavily autism/neurodivergent coded in this comic and i think it slaps. "He's not dumb, you just don't get how he thinks" is SUCH a good line to describe autism. This comic is so well written and for why

I decided to rewatch the whole dub because the series officially ended (zarla published the last comic strip just a few days ago), after accommpaining me for the last 7 years. Such a wonderfully written story, and such a great dub.
