• Man I can’t even imagine, being that young, losing my dad, playing my dads set, with my dads band, to that song and keeping it together.
  • @r_strohm7698
Played with the passion, sadness, and the anger of a 16 year old kid who just lost his father. Gives me chills.
  • @ItsIan.
I was here in person, everyone in the crowd was either crying or just absolute screaming their lungs out. What a moment I will never forget. RIP Taylor Hawkins

He didn't just play the drums, he exorcised his entire soul out. I saw the live stream of this as it happened. Emotional doesn't even come close to describing it.

I don't care if he is only 16, I know who gets my vote for the next Foo Fighters drummer...

That baby played his heart out for his dad. Anger, love and all other emotions.
  • @ApexATL
Strangely one of the most rock n’ roll moments of all time.
  • I can imagine Taylor looking down from heaven and saying "that's my boy"💙
  • Pat Smear coming in to give the boy a hug at the end. Foo Fighters have got to be the best set of uncles a kid can ask for.
  • That kid played his heart out! And apparently is just as talented as Dad was. Awesome opportunity for this young man. He did his father proud

I absolutely adore how the band changed pace as Shane did to keep the flow and Grohl looked back and gave him the queues he needed to hit his marks and get back on time. That was incredible. That kid is going to be an absolute legend on drums some day.
  • The way Dave looks at him near the end…absolute joy and pride
  • @raidenex3065
“Now… we’ve got the little guy…” such a heartwarming entrance for Shane. You can tell Dave thinks of him as part of his family
  • @theKAOSWZRD
I'm literally crying. 43 years old, by myself, wife and kids sound asleep. I can't imagine the courage that he had to get up in front of all these people, maintain his composure and play this song in front of thousands of people, in tribute to an incredible artist and genuinely amazing human being, his father........RIP Taylor.
  • Dave lost Kurt in 1994. Then, he lost Taylor Hawkins in 2022 and his mom. Dave is a fighter and a legend. I love this freaking dude.
  • @orchid0814
Idc who you are, this is undeniably one of the best moments in recent rock history....flawlessly performed and at the same time, tugs at the ol' heartstrings
  • @TheNumbrs
This is crazy how much Shane plays exactly like his dad did. Same movements, timing, amazing. Long live Foo - we miss you Taylor
  • That young man beat those drums like they owed him money. AWESOME 💔🙏✌️

At 3:53 when Dave gradually builds up to the bridge was absolute perfection. He didn’t think Shane would be able to move so quickly but the kid proved him wrong.
