Wtf were the bakery staff doing while this was happening
  • @canal605
I feel so sad for Harry, it must be awful to know that your brother died protecting you, he probably felt like it was his fault
  • @talulahsafir
The homeless man attending the funeral made me cry. What a good guy Jimmy was.
  • I actually cried when his mom said "at least he was in my sons arms". That just made my heart break
  • damn. this was so preventable, what a pathetic little boy this Jake character was. why didn't anyone in the bakery stop this or call the police. sucha sad story.
  • @Neverseenstars
so... they were in the bakery the whole time during the fight and the murder, and the employees didnt call the police when they saw this?

How proud they must’ve been to raise such an exceptional child. He sounds like he was a lovely person..

The guy that killed him got stabbed in jail by the guy who killed Rhys Jones
  • @canal605
the homeless man did such a beautiful thing giving his rug at Jimmy’s memorial as a mark of respect.’

The Mizen family opened their first café, The Café of Good Hope (now called Good Hope) in Hither Green in 2010, a mile away from the bakery where Jimmy Mizen was killed. The café is directed by Jimmy's older brother, Danny. All proceeds from the café go towards the For Jimmy charity.

This is genuinely one of the saddest cases I’ve ever heard in my life. I knew it was going to be horrible from the start but to find out that it was a tray and all circumstances had to line up so specifically for that shard to catch him where it did... god I can’t imagine. So heartbreaking
  • Jesus. It turns out I'm friends with one of his younger siblings and I'm just speechless. I knew he suffered a loss but I had no idea the extent of it. I am so proud of my friend and his family for being so strong and keeping Jimmy's name alive. He will live on through them and through the hope for peace among the youth of today.

Why do good souls like jimmy have to die :( thank you for covering this case I never knew about it before I like these shorter cases mixed in w the longer ones ofc

"Jimmy’s mother arrived soon after – and fainted when she saw her son’s life ebbing away as he was cradled in his older brother’s arms just a day after his 16th birthday."

The fact that Jinmys parents seem so forgiving and understanding is so amazing to me. True Catholics. Love them.

Why is it always the truly genuine and beautiful people who go too soon?
  • @canal605
Shortly before he died in May last year, he had completed two weeks work experience at Leathermarket JMB, a tenant-run organisation managing 1,500 homes in Borough and Bermondsey between London Bridge and Tower Bridge. He made such an impression that JMB has now launched an apprenticeship named in his honour.

This is heartbreaking and makes me angry. Jimmy probably would’ve gone on to do amazing things with his life and to find someone that EVERYBODY loved and had so many kind things to say about is rare. It’s upsetting to know that Jake was a POS his whole life but still gets to live even if he’s behind bars, he still might get out when he serves the minimum.

His parents recently came to my school to talk about forgiveness. Everyone was in tears. His parents are such inspirational people and Jimmy sounded like such an amazing young boy 💓💓💓 thank you for covering this case ❤
  • When I found out this case was connected to the Rhys Jones case I lost it. Two great families with wonderful well loved and respected sons you got to be kidding me. Hope those related to Sean Mercer and the other gang members at some point feel some remorse such innocent victims and sweet boys.
