James Mangold's 2017 film Logan brought us closure for one of the most important characters in the20th Century Fox X-Men film franchise . But one big mystery from that film that is often overlooked is who exactly wrote the in-universe X-Men comics in that movie that glamorize some of the exploits of the X-Men over the years, but more importantly, lead mutants to a safe haven known as Eden. After recently rewatching Logan for our X-Men rewatch series, Erik Voss takes a closer look at all the clues to try and determine who this mysterious comic book author is, and whether or not these comics will be addressed in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine film this summer.

The hype for DP3 is real
-
The easy thing would just be turning “Shhh-Pool” from Wolverine Origins into “Head-Pool” from Earth-2149 …the fact his head decayed over time would give him the zombified look too lol.
-
Maybe Colossus drew the comics, but Deadpool tells or drafted the idea for the story.
-
Wades reasoning for helping the mutant kids is justified by his girlfriend saying your hearts not on the right place and he needs to save the kid.
-
My favorite headcanon is that the other X-Men movies are fictionalized versions of real events within Logan’s history, some of which may have been recorded in Laura’s comics.
-
9:42 But in Logan they said that no mutant has been born in 25 years so that classroom in DOFP should be empty then
-
In the first Deadpool movie, hes seen doodling, so it could make sense

I'm continuing down the days until Deadpool and Wolverine comes out in July!!! I'm super excited!

“Where do you come up with this S#!t?!” -Brody, Mallrats.

Logan says "self promoting" so it should be someone who's in those comics. Assuming he actually knows who it specifically was. We seem hung up on it being Wade but have we looked at everything xman in the books themselves.

Does a part of you die when you say "chew it and do it" lol
-
Deadpool writing the comics in Logan is so outlandish lol
-
I want to see Headpool. Maybe instead of using the Zombie variant, use the one from the Wolverine movie
-
This makes me feel like I could see an adult Rictor meeting this Deadpool’s Shatterstar which would make me very happy.
-
It’s crazy how Deadpool and Wolverine are coming to the mcu.
-
My man's always comes with the energy he ripped 3 lines, hopped in the Tenet turnstile, and VO'd his whole read in perfect inverted English just to flex.
-
im just wondering does time/travel work differently throughout the multiverse? like between the foxverse, sonyverse and mcu??
-
That would be so sick
-
you know, this does bring up an interesting point. i assume not every student is cut out (nor even wants) to become an x-man. so what happens to them

I love every Deadpool movie and every time a Deadpool movie comes out it's like the event of the year to me.
