About Video Game Sophistry:
Video Game Sophistry is an opportunity to celebrate the creators and the artistry found in Video Games. I believe that Games are the most effective medium from experiencing another world, and another way to live. Expect to see a series of videos showcasing the narratives hidden in every game, interviews with game developers, along with our bench mark weekly podcast, Dialogue Wheel.
Andy Borkowski started this program nearly 10 years ago and, in that time, it has changed from a simple YouTube show, to a radio show, a TV show and now once again a YouTube destination. Welcome to VGS.

I absolutely love how we immediately jump from a boss who is loud, overconfident and self-absorbed in Lady Dimitrescu to a boss that's pretty much silent, sad and wants to shield herself away from society.
-
When you realize that in this boss fight,YOU are the one who is chasing donna, not her chasing you.
-
When Angie tries to climb on Donna laps when we first met them its kind a cute
-
I think Donna prefers childlike mannerisms while she acts through Angie because she had such an empty, tough childhood
-
wish Donna had more screentime, still the most terrifying part of the game though
-
It's kind of creepy / cool to know that when Ethan is chasing Angie he's actually chasing Donna and is just hallucinating that it's Angie, there's almost some reverse horror here in a way because it's like Donna is running and trying to hide from Ethan but he keeps finding her, thinking that it's a "game" he's playing with Angie, but in reality it's him running through the house stabbing Donna with a pair of scissors in a blind rage
-
Claudia Beneviento was only 9 years old when she dies according to the tombstone. I thought it was her mother too until I noticed that.
-
Interesting that Donna is the only lord not to leave a crystal. She leaves Angie, who functions similarly, but no crystal.
-
Dark theory: She was tired of Miranda's lies and purposefully wanted Ethan to end her life once she realised he could escape the baby fetus hallucination. That is why she did an easy hide and seek game instead of transforming. But the death seemed to painful and she kept running away as evidenced by the blood on the walls but eventually she managed to purposefully enraged Ethan to kill her.
-
In fact Donna & Angie are the first lords he meet. Heisenberg: am I a joke to you
-
Donna is the one character that I wish we got more of. She and her dolls had way more horror/creep factor than the vampire chicks.
-
Notice when he woke up from the hallucination, he didn't really have a scissor, so he acutally killed Donna with his bare hands, it's crazy.
-
When you realize that the "Boss fight" with Donna is actually you being the Scissors man as you hunt her down. AKA reverse Horror when Ethan is the monster to Donna
-
After you defeat her you can look at the back of the family photo to read “Save our Rose”
-
In this fight when you find angie on second floor, you can see that angie has the shadow of donna
-
I took the comment of 'everything would be better if Rose wasn't born' as Donna realizing that Miranda is going to throw them all away once she gets what she wants.
-
I wish Donna speak more her voice is so fine when she said "don't leave I can't let you."
-
Never forget that the Resident Evil 8 puppet commercials are canon because Donna is revealed to be the one operating it near the end.
-
Tbh Donna is my favorite female character and i really wish we could spend more time with her so we can know more about her and Angie
