I was 18 when this song first came out in 1968, I’m almost 73 now and it still sounds good. Great guitar work by Eddy Grant.

Eddy Grant with the Equals with Baby Come Back came out in 1968 then 15 years later in 1983 he went solo with Electric Avenue

Ich war 5 1/2 Jahre und immer mit meinem Pappa unterwegs. Überall in den Hotels und Gasthäusern standen damals Juke Boxen. Klar, daß ich daran nicht vorbei kam und immer dieses Lied anwählte. Pappa gab mir dafür immer die nötigen Pfennigmünzen.

This is my first time hearing this. I was about five when this song came out. But I am diggin' it. Back when music was sung by REAL voices and played on REAL musical instruments!

I was only 3 when this wonderful song first came out but the more I listened to it as I grew up I loved it more and more, I still listen to it today and I'm still a huge Eddie Grant Fan, this song was part of my growing up and it's still as good today as it was then.
