I’m 68 years old and I love this song as much as I did when in first came out in 1968.
-
I was 18 when this song first came out in 1968, I’m almost 73 now and it still sounds good. Great guitar work by Eddy Grant.
-
Sounds every bit as good now as it did 49 years ago.
-
The Equals are surely the ancestor of the Two Tone bands of the late 1970s and early 1980s.
-
Music used to be fun in those days. Now, for the most part, it's divisive and negative. Loved this song!
-
No. 1 hit in the UK and also peaked as high as No. 32 on the USA Billboard Hot 100 in 1968. Such a great song
-
1 of the best rock and roll riffs of all times in my book
-
'68 was a great year for music and a great time to be a kid!
-
Hell, I'm 67 and I love this song. LOL
-
Eddy Grant with the Equals with Baby Come Back came out in 1968 then 15 years later in 1983 he went solo with Electric Avenue

Love the song - Love the bass - Love the vocals ...
-
Just listen how great these vocals are mixed and it's 1968 man. Fantastic record.
-
My two and five years old children love this song :-D
-
This is my first time hearing this. I was about five when this song came out. But I am diggin' it. Back when music was sung by REAL voices and played on REAL musical instruments!
-
For those wondering, the musicians are lead vocalist Derv Gordon, lead guitarist-backing vocalist Eddy Grant, rhythm guitarist Patrick Lloyd, bass guitarist-backing vocalist Lincoln Gordon, and drummer John Hall.

I was only 3 when this wonderful song first came out but the more I listened to it as I grew up I loved it more and more, I still listen to it today and I'm still a huge Eddie Grant Fan, this song was part of my growing up and it's still as good today as it was then.
