  • Fo sho Bro...This ish here...is a real live perfect example of what a true and original MIXTAPE was like to a mthafkn T! And I'm talkin bout a literal recorded mix of different songs and beats on a cassette TAPE...that would only stop when you had to flip the tape from side A to B! And it was a constantly changing, nonstop & rapid fire style MIX up of fire music...that was usually already out and known...all Done by real live DJs, that was mixing real live vinyl RECORDS, on multiple RECORD PLAYERS (aka TURNTABLES aka WHEELS of STEEL)...That was designed and created, specifically, to keep a real live party or club of folks hyped up and jammin...the ENTIRE time it was playing. NOW, all this new music today that's being released and for some reason (probably by folks born before TAPES was replaced by CDs) being called a "mixtape"(some on fire fact)...But they not mixed up songs already out and known by real party/club/radio DJs, thats recorded and put out on a TAPE... So yeah pimpn'...Brang the Noise...b/c this might not be mixing vinyl records OR put out on a physical tape...BUT it is exactly how one would sound (except its more computer precise and not with the few, but normal, live performance imperfections that could happen). What's being called "mixtapes" now used, tbh and real, are really what use to be called Albums and EPs that have newly released individual songs. Don't even get me started on what a real "freestyle" rap was called...bc what they calling freestyle now...USED to be called well rehearsed and previously written rap bars...lol...kids a trip.
