  • Those were definitely some great finds. The one thing I’d caution people on is not using the bike beyond its intended purpose. Most of those are MTB style bikes not meant to be ridden on dirt. I’ve actually seen one fall apart on a ride and it was kind of scary.
  • This video genuinely seems original and great content. Kudos to you!

Glad you mentioned the issue with the box store bikes, and the bike rental. Bike rentals are affordable and a great option to enter the sport. Especially because they will be serviced by an experienced mechanic. Better to save up and buy the right bike for you than to purchase something you can afford immediately and be disappointed.

he kinda looks like V sauce

Evan, Great content as usual. I'd like to see a part 2 where you level up your skills on a budget bike but only from beginner to intermediate initially and see what parts start to break on that thing. If nothing breaks take it from intermediate to advanced trails till it does. Would be fun to see what gives out first and how long it keeps up.
  • This video was so good, MTB dosen't have to be expensive. You should do a follow up video upgrading that bike with $200.

Coming from someone who raced BMX this video has some great advice, I started mountain biking this year with a 600 dollar bike. With experience in jumping and the basics of riding a bike I grew out of this bike in 3 months and ended up buying a 1500 dollar hardtale that was much more fit and durable for jumping and tougher trails. Overall this video is 100% truthful and has awesome advice for beginners 👍

Loved that you made this! One thing tho I wished you showed us more footage of you riding, demonstrating the bikes capabilities better but overall I enjoyes. Thanks for this:)
  • Would be great to see you upgrade the bike bit by bit with parts that you find on the cheap, new or used, whatever fits the budget you deceide to use. Airwalk... gave me a damn whiplash that's how fast I was pulled back into the past. I remember using them when skateboarding.
  • I did bought a bike Gt Aggressors Pro for $300 from 2019 which was in my opinion a good deal, and couple of years later I have bought a trail bike. Most bikes for $300 are rarely that good, and very pleased with explaining the issues with box store bikes are not always reliable.

I started from that budget too then a friend introduced me to trails.. THE HUNGER NEVER STOPS, DUDE! THE UPGRADES KEEP COMING! SEND HALP

finally a really good mountain youtuber who odes not brag about his expensive bike, and understands his audience. Keep going buddy you are gonna reach 1 million.
  • @TheKikukiku89
Your videos keep getting better and better everytime you upload 🔥🔥
  • So glad to see this video! Im on a very similar budget and I'm upgrading from a old walmart bike to a real budget hardtail in a few days. Like even said at the end you should be careful on those walmart bikes. I had a full suspension walmart bike that snapped in half on a jump once. Thank God I was okay! Just remember the bigger the jump the bigger the price!

Now this is a budget mountain biking video I was expecting to see when I saw your CALLED OUT video and I 100% agree with your ending statements.
  • Great point dude. When I was in my teens I did dirt jump, race, and a lil flat land . Skills came back rather quick while riding the Axum. Already looking for a upgrade lol. Been about 2 months . On point my man.
  • @KDubber
Solid content. I like the approach, setting basic rules and not being able to upgrade the bike with parts you have kicking around etc., and actually sticking to it without any "cheats". And wise note on the word of caution.

this was a very nice vid I learned a lot! 👍👍 I will defiantly try this with my dad
