Love this track, love this anime. That one horn tone carried on and on is genius, reflecting with a deft touch the old history, the war. Then the sound effect of that light spell dissolving is great, signifying the past's fading away. It's almost like they've just discussed the creation myth, which they have. But I mean, it's like they've touched on a taboo or like original sin or something, sorta. Then, their conversation is like a reassurance after discussing that dangerous space: it's all...

This is so poetic, so celestial and effimerate. Like a strong breeze which is hard to forget. It embodies perfectly Deedlit's character. Love it!

They definitely don't make anime like this anymore.

Até hoje imbatível . a melhor animação referente a capa,espada,dragões,elfos,anões e magia.Lodoss é atemporal.
-
I love Deedlit’s character and this theme but what I also love a lot about the show is the theme song and outro where you can watch it every single time without feeling the need to skip those two.

All-time favorite anime.

...all playful and earthy. Deedlit's making a little petulant thing about not understanding humans but she's laughing and sort of flirting. Fantasy is great when it can subtly engage with or juxtapose the myths and the primal psychological stimuli---romance, being very alive and whatnot, and the whole nebulous and forbidding domain of the origins myth. Maybe I'm off my rocker. But I'm surely right saying that this anime truly truly rocks.

the beginning of this song is just like Shadow of the Colossus for PS2
-
Wicked, Radical, simply Fantastical
-
ooh, I meant to specify that "romance, being very alive and whatnot, and the...origins myth" were the subjects being addressed by this particular scene, not to imply that these three are the only subjects fantasy is suited to handling! sorry.

The first OVA remains THE best serious fantasy anime OF ALL TIME!...Oh that soundtrack! Grandeur, Knightliness Vs. Great Evil expressed in, aptly, unusually orchestral music!

It's not elf life unless you fall in love with Deedlit (AKA: Dee Dee)
-
DnD the anime.
