    Published depth and actual depth are two different things. Their actual capabilities are military secrets and the depth and speed of these vessels are probably much greater than what is reported to the media.

    En and Ru wikipedias are a bit different, and the .ru Wikipedia says Losharik has confirmed 3000m dive test, and rumors has it can dive to 6000m
  • We've been to the Mariana Trench in the 60's, but it's the Russians who dived deeper. And have faster subs. A 3rd world country that has nuclear weapons.
