Yaima's first album "Pellucidity" is a beauteous and bewitching collection of stories that seem to lead the listener on a journey through enticing soundscapes and floating melodies. Sustained by biological beats and engaging world rhythms, "Pellucidity" will soothe the savage and move the peaceful being in all of us....
Pellucidity means- to allow the maximum passage of light, to see clearly, as clear as fresh water in a mountain lake...
Pellucidity has been released on the label Jumpsuit Records which was established by David Sugalski aka The Polish Ambassador. The label was created as a platform for like-minded artist to collaborate, cross-pollinate, promote, perform, tour and brainstorm. It is moving away from a standard label paradigm to more of a musical collective. I came across you in a video by Christina Martine at Lucidity Festival 2016 and I was amazed not only by your voice and the words you sang but also they way you all orchestrated the music into a beautiful cohesive melody... everything was just perfect. I don't get to live a normal life seeing as I'm disabled and basically bedridden so I can't tell how awesome it is for me to stumble across people like you on the internet. Thank you Yaima and crew, for a great work of art! You are such a beautiful treat to my eyes, ears, and spirit! Just when I was thinking I had maxed-out on vibe & vision, you kicked it up another notch... again! Lol! Back in the 70's, it all took place in our mind's eye and heart, but now we can revisit a glimpse of that period when freedom of spirit, and release of of all worldly cares were possible.
