  • Can anyone relate? Are you a quick to pick and settle kind of guy or take your time and possibly get caught up in the paradox of 'choice'?
  • The older I get, the happier I am with my complete freedom and being alone! I used to want another GF, but lately it's just not worth it to me. I love my peace and complete freedom 24/7

I'm 60 Asian American living in Cebu City, had a GF for 3 years and we broke up. Was a bachelor for 9 months then found a province girl online and she travel to come to Cebu to meet me and things are good now. We video chat prior of her coming to meet me. She appreciates everything I do, so far it's the best thing for me.

Tampo is easy. The first time she goes tampo, tell her you are going for a walk on the beach and may go snorkeling and then maybe out to dinner. Tell her to text you when she is ready to talk but remind her that you won't have your phone with you when you are snorkeling. They would rather end tampo then wonder where you are and who you are with. Women do tampo to control you. You need to demonstrate that every time they do tampo, it will lead to a loss of control. No way does a Filipina want her boyfriend to be out for dinner somewhere without her. Yes, some Filipinas say they do tampo so they won't say something they regret. But remind them that they can carefully vet their texts before sending them. So Tampo should last 5 minutes not hours or days. Those are just about control.

Why the hell, at retirement age, should I... 1) get married 2) cohabitate 3) impregnate 4) raise some other fool's kids 5) tie myself down inconveniently 6) throw away all the peace, quite, rest, adventure and fun.. that I had been working my whole life for 7) make myself more valuable dead than alive 8) support an entire clan of strangers that weren't there for me when my a$$ was in pain working with ailments all those years 9) give into a self defeating trend of stu_pid decision making 10) make myself more miserable with drama 11) leave one stressful life for another 12) put myself at a disadvantage 13) subject myself to people's bullsh$t 14) do anything other than enjoying my life in my retirement? WHY??? To each their own! ✌️

Please don't delete my comments I'm Karen from Quezon City 8 years I have a good relationship with 63 year old Canadian single man he didn't marry or have kids with me we just stay together for 8 years but he passed away last year I just want to say is the secret for lasting relationship is respect, honesty, trust without that it will not work I'm not the type to control my partner be like CC tv camera any action he do, I respect privacy for him and his things tampo have many intentions here example to control, manipulate, or just jealousy and insecurity and can't express there feeling's in English..

Even if you’ve made it clear that you are in an exclusive relationship with your filipina and you will never cheat on her, it does NOT mean jealosy can’t happen where she goes full-on Tampo on you! It happened to me. A pretty cashier smiled at me and I smiled back. I got the “silent treatment” for 24 hours.
  • I've been married to my awesome Filipina for 11 years and couldn't be happier. There are only 4 years between us and we never run out of things to talk about. We texted each other every day for over two years. One day we both agreed we could be more than just pen pals. I knew I wanted to marry her even before we met face to face. I saved up and bought a plane ticket to come to meet her. I asked her what sort of gift I should bring her from the US. She said she wanted a Bible written in English. I bought an engagement ring and her Bible. I went on a translator program and wrote my marriage proposal in Tagalog on the back page of the Bible. I'm one of the lucky ones. I had friends telling me I was crazy and could be being scammed. I knew better. She never asked me for money in the over 2 years we knew each other and I sent her money once for medication when she had an injury and she would not accept it and immediately returned it to me ❤

This guy has his $hit together. He is very analytical and articulate and answers the questions we have all been wondering about. Great interview. I would like to hear from him periodically.
  • Maybe its just me, but it seems like a lot of these guys searching for love don't seem to understand that they are an ATM. A stable man means ATM, a mature man means ATM, an older bucktooth hairlip man with a pension is an ATM. Thinking that it is anything else is delusional. Just my .02 cents.

As a 55 yo here in the US, this is a very good video. Honest and realistic. There's a lot of wisdom and self reflection portrayed. Thanks for your content.

I am married to a educational Filipina whose English is perfect. She is from a middle class family and before her I didn't date middle class Filipina but it is a huge difference and in many ways much better. Of course their are always pro and cons. To me he seems to need a educated professional Filipina in her 40s.
  • @louisbee7923
Tampo is a power play on her part. She wants to know how much control she has over you. Any guy who gives in is doomed. Once she knows she's got the upper hand it's over. Tampo should mean you show her the door.
  • For most of my adult life I wanted a female partner who could talk about the many things that interested me. And I had that several times with female partners. It doesn't work. They lose interest in those things. People get jaded. Discussion gets replaced with eye rolls. So now I'm 5 years a hermit. Love it. No more watching the news and social media. My goal is to not even know President of the US. I've seen in movies a married couple who spoke different languages, no shared words. But they were happy. They were creating a family and wife handled the house and husband worked. They understood their roles. They didn't need each other to make them happy.

He is still into himself. When I found my Filipina, I was looking to elevate her life and to watch her grow. My wife wanted to come to the states and find employment because she was the breadwinner and it just wasn’t happening in her country. She was honest upfront and I accepted her life mission. We got married and I brought her over. I found her employment and we were living very happily for 36 years until Covid took her from me. I was totally committed to make her realize her goals and dreams. I put myself behind her. She was very devoted to me, as well. I am honest to say we were soulmates because we understood each other’s needs and wants.

Filipinas like a man with a plan. I didn't hear a cohesive plan that includes a good Filipina.
