I don’t think Max’s driving was as crazy as most people make it out to be. Norris was on the edge with his offensive moves and Max was on the edge with his defensive moves. Seems like people have forgotten what a fight for the win usually looks like. Of course, Max left less than a car width of space, but moves like that happen all the time. Max was squeezed off exactly the same way in the same corner by a Ferrari in 2022. If it wasn’t for the double puncture, the opinions would be way different. It seems like people were just waiting for a reason to absolutely flame Verstappen. Nevertheless, very unfortunate for Lando, and I am hoping for more close fights between the two with less controversial outcomes. Would hate to see Max and Lando break their friendship over a close championship fight.

U talk absolutely rubbish Matt , u need to watch Peter Windsor race review. Max did not turn left , his steering wheel was straight, the track itself turning left 😅!

Peter Windsor watched the telemetry, and he said Max didn’t turn the wheel at all, that the track has a dip that pulls the car left a bit. That was a racing move.

Do F1 fans even like F1? The alpine battle, hamilton versus Russel mercedes vs sainz, ofcourse haas, alonso having a very tense stinker, piastri v perez. How can all of you whine about it being boring until a 10 LAP FIGHT FOR THE LEAD?! Literally 14% of the race was that battle lando v verstappen. What do you need for a race to be interesting?

I think Max can hold his hands up. But not if Lando keeps stating he did nothing wrong at all either. They both were overly agressive and Lando should know that it isn't as simple as 'oh mate sorry I was wrong there'. He was in the wrong too during the race. To be honest Lando's racing wasn't all that good and he was trying to force a move instead of being mature and patient. So why do we all praise Lando now? Online it does feel like english bias is back from pretending to be gone... Only and only if Lando is also able to put his hands up and say yeah we had our fair share. Max might do it as well. Not to mention that the move where contact happened wasn't all that 'moving under braking' as the previous defensive moves max made. Making him admit blame just for the media and audience will only result in Max isolating himself and fighting even harder...
