Branch's Color is very inconsistent in the later films some times he's very saturated like at the end of the first movie and other times he is back to his grayish color self

Honestly when this man relaxes enough to have literally any other facial expression besides that trademark grumpy face from the first movie, he turns right back into the babygurl he truly is deep down inside. Despite trying his hardest at 1:53 to be nonchalant, all it takes is eye contact with Poppy for Branch’s (poor) facade to immediately crumble. For a troll who prides himself on being unimpressed by everyone else’s antics, he’s the most nervous and insecure one, especially when it comes to being open with Poppy. Boy can confess his love to her multiple times but has no idea how to be in a relationship. You can’t help but say “aww”.
