This is actually funny cuz my friend got me into Will Wood and now we are challenging each other to see how many other people we can get to like his music lmao

i shuffled all of his songs for my mom bc she was curious about my music taste. the first song that came on was 2012. she said it was "torture" and wont listen to any more. uncultured

So I showed a few of my friends some songs by him, here's how it went: Trial 1 | Subject: Friend 1 | Date of experiment: September 27th, 2022: Started asking if I was ok during the middle of the first song; said it was a bop; continued to ask the same question for the next two songs. Songs used: Cotard's Solution, 6up 5oh Copout, Chemical Overreaction (in that order). Results: Positive, trying to show Friend 1 more of Will's songs for further testing. Notes: Did not show what Will looks/looked like, random song suggestions. Trial 2 | Friend 2 | Date of experiment: October 12th, 2022: Looked at lyrics, surprised Will says "bitch" so close to the beginning. Showed that one really controversial line, Friend 2 responded with "That's not good!" in a seemingly sarcastic way. Said it was a good song/jam. Immediately went right back to listening to this one German rock band after the song ended. Song used: Thermodynamic Lawyer. Showed what Will looks/looked like. Friend 2 responded with several accusations of Will being gay. Stubborn with firm belief of such even after several reassurances that Will is not gay with proof (several song lyrics; that one line in Mr. Fregoli). Says I am just "hopeful" for an unknown reason. Showed Friend 2 the cover art for Will's album SELF-iSH, responded with an enthusiastic "That's sick!" Results: Positive(?), currently trying to show Friend 2 Cotard's Solution. Notes: Only louder songs of Will's have been suggested based on Friend 2's taste in music. Friend 2 seems to "jokingly" believe that I am attracted to Will, which is an incorrect assumption (I just like Will's music, comedy, aesthetic, and overall vibes). Trial 2b | Friend 2 | Date of experiment: October 17th, 2022: Showed Friend 2 the song Cotard's Solution. Friend 2 hears the first part of Cotard's Solution and says "It sounds like Ghost, and I don't like Ghost, man." Friend 2 proceeds to give no further response during or after song. Results: Unclear. Trial 3 | Friend 3 | Date of experiment: October 12th, 2022: Immediately asked questions before listening to song: "Oh you listen to Will Wood? Why do so many of my friends listen to him?" Experiment terminated. Cause of termination: Friend 3 seemed to be mildly "annoyed"/confused about the fact that I listen to Will Wood; knows about Will's music and has listened to it (; mildly embarrassed). Song to have been used: Suburbia Overture. Results: Unsure/failed. Note: Song suggested based on Friend 3's personality/aesthetic. External notes: I have been listening to Will Wood for about roughly 4 months now; this may be considered a hyper-fixation of sorts. More experiments may be conducted in the future with more friends. I feel really sciency at the time of writing this "report" (October 15th, 2022). I have so much homework I should be doing instead of this, most of which due next Monday or Tuesday (October 17th - 18th, 2022 and today is Saturday, October 15th, 2022). Update: Trial 4 | Cousin | Date: November 24th (Thanksgiving), 2022: While on a bike ride around the neighborhood, we were discussing favorite singers. I said Will Wood. My cousin states they love Will Wood and Tally Hall. No further experimentation required. All future trials will be in the replies.

So so, very true. I often tell my friends what Will Wood song I've been listening to or something nice about Will Wood and then think they'd give him a try but they never listen him.

If you want people to like him, Love Me, Normally is definitely the most natural sounding one but still entails his personality. That’s what got me into him
