Options seemed easier when I started learning, but in reality futures are much better. Options have greeks which are factors that affect the price of your options contracts. So price is not the only thing you have to worry about, you have to take into consideration, stike price, expiry day, volatilty, spreads, volume, etc.
  • Prop accounts for futures is game changer. If you know what you're doing and leverage multiple accounts, the money is really, really good

Futures all the way baby! I’ve been so afraid of futures for over a year. When I watched videos I was confused. When I read instructions, I was terrified! Tried it a few times and it’s actually quite fun if you know when to get in and get out!
  • Thanks Ben. Very helpful. I previously purchased your program but I still appreciate the quick Youtube vids.

No matter how good of a trader you are, you won’t make good enough money until you grow into trading large amounts of capital. Awesome insights by the way Ben :)

I trade the ES and love it. I traded stocks for multiple years and got tired of always have to search and try to be ahead of the market which is impossible. Now I just sit and watch one chart.
  • I’ve been a options buyer and seller for about 4 years. I love it. I manage the risk by the overall delta of the position.
  • I have been trading options for the past year and I have recently changed to micro futures and I love it a lot more than options . I like options for swing trading macro structure

I hve been trading options until few weeks ago when i switched to Futures. I can tell you for sure they are a bit of a hustle..compared to futures. Placing SL is not convenient for almost all option brokers...its so manual and long process...when you combine that with the greeks and other factors affecting option premium, I have finally decided to switch to Futures and thank God I have already started seeing consistent results. I use tradovate and i love it.

I'm trying to learn how to get into futures for 1 huge reason: A lot of times, I get the idea right but my entry timing is wrong. So sometimes when I know I'm out of buying power, or I know I'm limited to a certain number of trades left, I don't cut my losers quickly enough and I hold longer than I should because in the back of my mind, I'm thinking "I don't have enough buying power if I have to cut this and re enter again". That goes bad sometimes as you could imagine.

Very Easy & simple Explaination. Thank you.

Hi Ben, great video, yeah I switched to Futures as well awhile back, way better than Options!
  • Great video! You can do everything you just did on think or swim (TOS) as well. They have a platform called "active trader" where you can set your profit target and stop loss/ trailstop prior to you getting into the trade. When you enter the trade then it will activate your setup. Now they were correct about when you are down on a options play and then the move comes back to your entry and you can still be down because of theta. Thats if you are in a zero day expiring contract that the theta will eat away at your contract value if the play goes against you for too long
  • I personally use the /ES to buy SPY options. Things that are very annoying like you mentioned in the video is when you enter price drops a bit and comes back up to your entry you are down. I am wondering if futures market is more like shares in where you enter that’s your set price.
