Furina: She steps towards the glass panel, a sense of dread overcoming her entire being. Her footsteps are slow. Two blue eyes and white hair stare back at her, but they are not her own. The mirror, slightly foggy, shows a figure like her, but… not, at the same time. The prophecy… She remembers it clearly as the reflection speaks. Mirror-her tells her what her job is, and it is simple. But she doesn’t know how, and she is frightened. She is only human, after all. Why is it she who has to pay for the mistakes of another god? Why does she have to BE a god? Her heart beats quickly, tears forming in her eyes as she realizes she has embraced her truth. Her fate. Her prophecy. She would put aside her feelings, her selfish feelings. She would put aside her emotions, hide them behind in an ornate and perfect mask, unbreakable. She would build her mask stronger and stronger because she knows that if she cracks it, if she shatters it, nothing will matter. Everyone will be gone. She would play the lead part, nothing more but a puppet of a greater prophecy to deceive everyone and thus, deceive Celestia. This, in all of its beautiful and twisted and evil glory, would be her ultimate stage. Everything, everyone else, could be set aside. Nothing else matters. Because in this game given to her, on the elaborate chessboard, the war she fights cannot, can never, be won with the truth. Her tears, long gone, can only be heard in the fountain of Lucine, where even they are suffocated by the raging waters. And the curtains begin to open… …And the show, however long it may be, begins.
