The door that Lonnie made, looked great. Hope the rain didn't interfere with Katherine's birthday party. I was down home this past week, even drove by the farm and didn't realize it, until I was at 21. Bernie, what can we say about him other that he's a gem. Helping you, gives him something to do, it's a win win.
  • Seeing you farming and how much you remind me of my father and at 26 minutes u remind me of the good times with family that I miss. You sir are more important than you know!!!!

Kip,you were talking about a periodic walk around while filling silo. It got me to remembering what we did. Because so much work is done right by that blower PTO, we would drive a fence post on each side of it and wrap some #9 wire across the two above the shaft. It saved us from trouble once that I remember. Lost a u joint at the blower and it separated and slapped around for a little before we got it shut off.

I don't miss milking cows or filling silo, but there's days I see them packing the bunkers and want to offer a driver for the afternoon.
  • A good day on the farm is way better than a good day in a shop, especially when it's you your working for. Better keep your right hand man Lonnie around. A carpenter is a good thing to have around a farm. Keep filling those silos, hopefully with the grace of God you'll finish up without any problems. Looks like the girls were having fun at the birthday party. Family, that's what counts in life. Hang in there, see you in the next video. 👍
  • Cutting corn silage is the best . Cooler temps lighter to work with and nothing smells like corn silage. After all these years away from the farm I still miss the corn silage harvest
  • Thanks for another great video. Happy Birthday again for Katherine. Glad the party was nice. Great amount of teamwork by all of you. Just wonderful. Thanks for the drone footage. It was interesting and enjoyable. Thanks for explaining the bag and silo process. Lot there too learn. Kip you are a great teacher. Thanks. You and Lonnie are a good team. My compliments to you both. You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything Kip. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

Happy birthday Kathryn! The big one oh.

Hey Kip, I would like to kindly remind you about maybe marking the winch cable for the silo with some red paint
  • 2 suggestions--agri-speed hitches so don't have to get on and off to hook up wagons and safety harness when climbing silos
