    Hot take: ximming ruins the console experience just as much as hacking ruins the PC experience. You have to be unbelievably skilless to support ximming

  • People who xim just want an excuse to say they don't suck on console and want to dominate the entire field. It is beyond unfair on console. The reason I stopped playing on console and swapped to PC was bc xim players literally killed the game competitively, you can't compete. And for whatever reason, even though it's cheating, they are NEVER punished.

    Hot take: Blizzard indirectly encourages GM players to smurf on console.
    Once you are in GM you play atleast against 1 ximmer (MNK) most of the time. Therefore most of the games feel miserable and you feel powerless. The only reason you lost is because you played on controller instead of cheating with a xim. Blizzard does not fix this issue . So as GM player you either have a miserable time or smurf in plat lobbies and roll them, instead of getting rolled.

    Hot take: Sombra's Hack should NOT force swap Wrecking Ball's ball form. Not all CC cancel ball form, but out of all that do, Hack is the most forgiving and rewarding. 

    Rein's shatter (tank ult), Hog's hook (tank skill shot), Sigma's rock (tank skill shot), Ana's sleep dart (support skill shot), Sombra's hack (dps auto lock, short cd, that can be used while invisible). You tell me which of these feels odd.

    I disagree with your point on the dps passive indicator. As a tank, I do find some cases where I want to know if my healing is reduced. It can give me an idea of how far I need to disengage on doom for instance. This could eliminate some down time before re-engaging.

    3:50 Hot Take: As an extension to that hot take, to make ball a dps you should make ball smaller, remove the knock up with pile driver so it’s just for the damage, nerf his health obviously, and remove adaptive shields and replace with a sonic the hedgehog spin dash.

    Hot take: Overwatch devs pandering to the competitive players has stripped many of the characters identities from them for the sake of competitive viability or "feeling more fun to play against." I personally know casual players who were pushed away from the game because their favorite hero in the DPS roster started to feel like their whole playstyle was "just shoot the gun." Torb, Reaper, Symmetra, and Mei are the examples that come to mind. Torb and Mei more than the others. Torbjorn throwing out armor packs, building up his turret, and ulting for a level 3 turret all gave him a sense of identity that made him fun to play. Now he has a turret that builds itself, and a button that makes him shoot faster. Mei's ability to freeze people, along with the rest of her kit, made frustrating to play against. But it also gave her an identity that made Mei players buy into the character more. Now she is just a right click spamming bot with a wall made out of paper.

    Edit: Removed bastion from the list because he actually gained an identity in the rework.

    I've been a Wrecking Ball player from the very beginning, and I appreciate that hot take about Ball as a DPS. But rather than remove him as a tank, I want them to figure him out as a tank, in the new metas. Then maybe they can propagate his movement style to a DPS or support or someone else, to let that particular skill-set function in other roles. It'd be fun to swing around like Spider-Man, as a different sort of hero.

    With how they've moved flight around the roster, I don't think it's impossible to do the same for Ball/Doom skills. People find tank to be a hard role to ease into, because it often requires movement/knowledge that cannot be accessed as a DPS or support. And there's no sense in making everyone so specialized--that's how you get rock-paper-scissors swapping.
  • Hot take: maps should have more interactive props and, more importantly, environmental hazards other than just falling off the map. Think in the style of a PVE game but more on the smaller scale (one small prop on the map can boop an unfortunate player getting close, one can inflict small amounts of damage, one can change the geometry of the map etc etc etc, only creativity is the limit). Right now the only such thing I can think of is the launch pad in Oasis and the walls on the objective in Meka Base that go up and down intermittently. I think more diverse and more interactive props and what a lot of players call "stage hazards" could serve to make the game more dynamic and unlock way more strategies and compositions that were previously not considered.

    English is not my first language and I feel like I butchered the presentation of my take but I digress

    Hot take: sombra is the most unbalanced dps to play against. She has the ability to get in and out without hesitation, run away, silence your abilities. And you can only counter her by playing sombra or making your team focus her.

    And i say all pf that as a sombra main, shes the best flanker with little to no risk

    Hot take: Sym turrets need to go. They are annoying to play against, and they don’t feel good to use/ they are somewhat useless in most scenarios. I also feel they don’t fit the character fantasy either, like she is a master architect and she makes these tiny laser turrets? I feel like if you replaced them with some cooler construction she’d be less annoying, cooler to play, more interesting in gameplay, and fit her hero fantasy better. It’s time for the car wash to close.

    They could give Rein over health generation when he uses his charge. Like he generated 25 over health per second, so the longer he’s charging the more health he’ll gain.

    Probably have to make the over health expire after a second or two after charge ends to not make it OP
