The frame where the glass lights up is truly magical, made the whole trip worth it. Thanks guys!
-
The subtle fading in of "Science with Gaunson" as he silently is burning a fistful of hay has me crying from laughing and I have no idea why.
-
The paint can slowie was amazing and I thought nothing would top that. But the glass ball collision... magic! Gav will shed a tear of regret for sure when he sees that flash of light he missed out on recording. Great job by everyone for making these experiments happen in less than ideal conditions. I'm Canadian so I know how miserable it can be to work in the snow and yet you guys looked like you were genuinely having fun.
-
That's flash of light was cool as! Definitely need to recreate this again, but under lab conditions? Perhaps get the Slow Mo guys involved and film at 1m fps, but in the dark - so that flash can be as optimal as possible? Great video guys!
-
As a Canadian, I appreciate that three Aussies stood out in a field during a snowstorm to do this video. Amazing capture of the glass balls. The Slow Mo guys are kicking themselves for this for sure. lol. Well done, hope you enjoyed North America as much as I enjoyed Australia when I went there. Glad to see Rexy got healed too :)
-
The fact that the glass sparked like that just shows how much energy was in that collision. Fascinating stuff.
-
I live in Montana born and raised, glad you guys got to have fun and experience some light snow, thanks for coming guys ! ❤
-
Editor Jack's troll of Scott at the very end is what the 44 Club is all about. Chef's kiss
-
I like the juxtaposition of the science guy talking about intermolecular binding and static charges and triboluminescence with Gaunson tossing a handful of straw into a fire!
-
Rexy bit and ripped that basket ball midair, if that's not gonna be a shirt i'll be sad
-
That scene at the end where Scott burns straw and the Science with Gaunson logo fades in and out had better not symbolize the end of Science with Gaunson! Scott's explanations are goofy yet somehow based in actual science and I love them.:_44ClubScott:❤

Thank you so much for this video! I lost my job today, and I really needed to laugh. The 2 glass balls at the end were amazing!
-
Genuinely laughed out loud for the "science with Gaunson" bit at the end. Incredible shots.
-
I believe this is called the “Kentucky Effect “. Gav, Dan and I discovered it 😂
-
I absolutely love Gaunson's science at the end. Great work.
-
It is the piezoelectric effect when crystals are rubbed together. This was incredible.
-
Science with Gaunson - Hay is, in fact, flammable.
-
This has to be the best How Ridiculous video I have ever watched. The fact that you powered through the weather just makes it that more special. As a Canadian I loved seeing you guys in the snow 👍
-
I've had Triboluminescence happen to me opening an envelope in a dark room. I was opening it and saw a neon blue light coming from the glue as I pull it apart, my friend witnesses it to too. Loved the video and that amazing footage.

Seeing the snow in slowy for reference is wild. It's hard to conceptualize how much something has been slowed down, but watching the snow crawl down the screen is so cool.
