Laufey’s music reminds me of early 1920’s-1950’s songs. It somehow has this nostalgic, antique familiarity to it, like Christmas songs or early Disney musicals. Most of all, it reminds me of my dad, as we’d sit there in the bedroom and watch 1950 Cinderella and 1973 Charlottes Web over, and over, and over again (also he’s not dead we’re just not as close as we used to be). I’m 16 now, at the stretch of young adulthood, and listening to this song gives me a sense of comfort and security. Thank you so much for being your wonderful self and going against the status-quo Laufey. I’m so grateful to have discovered your artistry. ☺️💗
