Throwback to the only playoff game between these teams. The Giants' amazing Super Bowl run begins in Tampa against Jeff Garcia and the Bucs.

The Jints went 4-0 against opponents with a combined record of 54-12. Three games on the road. Amazing

I'm a Raiders fan, but the 2007 Giants was the first team I admire in my life. I was so impressed how they made it to the postseason and then the way they won 3 road playoff games from hot to cold to colder cities. Every week they found more dramatic ways to win games and finally the Super Bowl was just shocking, but considering that I followed their playoff run, i was expecting something like this.

I'm a lifelong Redskins fan, but I think this Giant team is perhaps the most inspiring story of underdogs in NFL history...well, since the Jets won the title.

I'm a bears fan, but these giants were amazing, and of course the team that beat the Pat's again a few years later. They truly played inspired football.

to me, this giants team embodies why sports are so great.
  • And just 28 days after beating Tampa Bay, the Giants would do the unthinkable. There’s no such thing as a sure thing in football.
  • This game marked —The last playoff game for Jon Gruden as head coach —The last playoff game for Jeff Garcia —Eli Manning’s first career playoff win —Tom Coughlin’s first playoff win since the 1999 AFC divisional round —The first road playoff win for the NY Giants since the 1990 NFC Championship game —The last Buccaneers playoff game until 2020 —The last home playoff game for the Buccaneers (if you don’t count Super Bowl 55 that is)
  • As a Giants fan, and football fan this was and still is one of the best playoff pushes I've ever seen.

This is the best playoff run in NFL history. Peeps forget that the Buccaneers were the number 1 defensive NFC team that year followed by beating the best NFC team with 12 pro bowlers and then go play in the 3rd coldest playoff game in NFL history with -27 wind chill to only beat the legendary Favre and his packers who were 13-3 that year. And then we all know what happened in SUPE 42😉😉😉😁😁😁.

the year everyone on fox five bet against us lol
  • @zmoneytmnt
That Giant defense got real good towards the end of the season
  • @amcynic
What was also impressive about this run was that the Giants did it without Jeremy Shockey who was on injured reserve.

Hope this game can stay up awhile. I posted a copy of this game, which I bought from a private collector, and the NFL took it down a few weeks later. Thank you Bart Simpson.

Jeff Garcia was a real trooper, always put into tough situations and did as much as he could to excel and help his team.
  • I'll never forget when I was like 17 or 18 I went to visit my Uncle in #ConeyIsland #Brooklyn who was a die hard #Giants fan in like 2004 & we watched a game together on his big screen where Eli was just starting out & needless to say he stunk up the joint. I wasn't a Giants fan just yet but I was getting frustrated I'll never forget my Uncle said to me "Be patient with Eli, he's gonna shock the world soon enough..." Sadly my Uncle passed away in 2006, so he never got to see this, but i always remembered him telling me that, then this playoff run happened.... Needless to say after this, I NEVER questioned the homie Eli again

    I'm a Giants fan ever since 1985!💙
  • Hard to believe that this was the last time the Bucs were in the playoffs until 2020 when Tom Brady came to town and made them the best road warrior team since the 07 Giants.
  • @chasetullar2732
Greatest postseason run in NFL history and no one can convince me otherwise.🤷🏻‍♂️
  • @joshjosh9010
This is the first time I've watched this since it aired. I completely forgot: the Wild Card, Divisional, and Championship games had a crutial last minute interception by the Giants.
