I appreciate so much how you normalize things around the subject of jobs. I still search myself at 24 and that's ok. No pressure. You made my day, thanks!!!

I really appreciate what you said about work and how real you were about it. It's kinda hard seeing so many people online seeming to live the dream and get paid basically to be themselves, or people we know personally having really cool jobs. I just got my first full-time job, a year after graduating from college, and it's nowhere near my dream job. I cried my first two weeks and felt like my work was so pointless because it's not related at all to what I want to do, but then I realized the job is fine and this is simply what I need to do to support myself right now. I'm not miserable or dreading my job, it's just not what I expected. I don't see myself at this job forever, but I also don't hate it, and I feel like a lot more people need to hear what you said.

You are so humble and it's so refreshing seeing the realness in your life! Something that is so much missing from social media nowadays...
  • I'm almost 30, been working for 7 years, and I still don't think there's anything like a "perfect" job. even our dream job / the best vocations / our "passion projects" have sucky moments as well, but we all just gotta look at the bigger picture and see everything we do as a learning opportunity – dream job or not. Thank you for sharing your little "rant" about work / our jobs. it's really given me some perspective today :)

Thank you for saying what no one says about work. Sometimes we have to have jobs that we may not like, but we have to do what we need to. Also, what you said about praying about it if you aren’t happy about it. Then asking God to help you figure out what is next. Thanks Rachel!

My face when you say you can portion pretzels over the week and not just eat them all at once 😯😯😯
  • Loved your video, you gave me the motivation to rethink my 9-5 job from being negative to positive, it was really helpful that I am learning something and its not wasted time.

Bluelight glasses are actually quite a contentious topic among ophthalmologists and have not been shown to reduce eye strain in studies. This is because a lot of the discomfort actually comes from looking at object close to you which puts your eyes in a strained, contracted position for extended time periods (screens/books etc). What can definitely help reduce strain is taking a 20 second break and looking at something further away every 20 minutes or so.

That another day another dollar talk is what i really needed to hear! Im working at a job that is okay, its not my dream job but it pays the bill, i have nice client and weekends off. Thanks for that encouragement 💪♥️

I’m a nurse and absolutely love my job. But it’s definitely still a job and I’m not always the most motivated. Just found your channel 😊
  • @natashadevi9289
It’s so nice to hear your opinion on having a job that may not be your dream job. In the end you’re able to enjoy other parts of life and enjoy it.
  • @Froschpriinz

YES to house tour and also thank you for being so real! Most peoples day in a life doesn't involve having a job they actually go to but just youtube and it Is just so nice to relate to someone who has a job outside of the house.
  • @blushstix
While checking YouTube I bumped into your videos and honestly I really liked them. Specially I like your work wears a lot. 👍
  • @meriemhebaz2869
I love how honest you are Rachel! Thank you for that, I completely relate to what you said about work. In todays society there is a lot of pressure about finding your dream job and I feel that sometimes it is just not that realistic with people having bills to pay and other responsibilities. We have to be grateful for the jobs we have, the ones that provide us with some stability and as you said, there are always options to change careers or pursue something on the side!
