Dream trip for me. One day! Not going there near Halloween, seen enough videos of the crowds. A quiet, cloudy, rainy day would be perfect! Thanks for sharing!

Witch City Wicks has the best candles! I have a monthly candle subscription through them. I get a new candle every month sent to my house in Arizona from their shop in Salem. I love it so much.
  • Iโ€™m from Massachusetts. My dadโ€™s side of the family immigrated to Salem from England in 1629. Iโ€™m related to Reverend John Hale through marriage. My 8th great grandfather married his sister, Joanna Dodge (Hale). If you see Dodge Street in Salem it was named after my family. Also, my cousins Lydia and Captain George Dodge are buried in the Old Burying ground. Theyโ€™re the last two tombstones on the right near the exit gate. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Welcome - The house in the first few mins with the giant skeleton and the pride flags is mine. Hope you have a great visit.

My old Irish mother would never let me have a ouija board in the house. She said it was bad energy. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

The Black Veil Shoppe of Drear and Wonder is a must stop in Salem. Great photo ops and shopping.
  • @Chris-sh7ch
"Coven" on Derby Wharf is another really great shop and the owners are super cool!!

Many of the accused lived in and the trials took place in modern Danvers (Salem Village). Modern Salem (originally called Salem Town) has taken advantage of the tourist interest in the topic, but Danvers still has many of the historic buildings and homes related to the accused. I hope you can visit sites in Danvers too.
  • @NocturneSalem
Oh I love this! I have been watching your videos the last few weeks enjoying your Halloween shopping and see you stopped by our shop, Nocturne! Thanks so much for the love. Two worlds colliding. So cute ๐Ÿฅฐ

Covenโ€™s Cottage, The Black Veil and Hive and Forge are also really great stores in Salem. Also, thereโ€™s a separate memorial for the victims at the actual location where they were hung (pinpointed after many, many years of research) and i hope you were able to go there. So happy you made it here, thereโ€™s no place like Salem!
  • This is my bucket list place to visit. Witchy goodness all around. Plus the history and I can only imagine the aura this place has. I love how this dark historical time in history was turned it on its head and is now a mecca for witches everywhere.
  • Welcome, be sure to check out Chestnut Street ( the 1st planned street in the country) as well as my favorite cemetery Broadstreet Cemetery ๐ŸŽƒ

  • I go to Salem in the summer and the fall, and for Halloween .... I got engaged in Count Orlocks .... I'm so happy I'm only an hour away because I feel a sense of "I'm at home" there. Not just because of the creepiness etc .... but because it just feels right. Witch City Wicks is where I get all my candles!! GO ON THE WEBSITE FOR THEIR HALLOWEEN CANDLES COMING SOON! MY 2 favorites that I stock up on .... Hallows Eve and Sleepy Hollow ..... my favorite year round is Holy Ground and Hearth! Sleepy Hallow is chefs kiss Halloween scent!
  • @droidgkid
Right onโ€ฆ.I was there last week Wednesday too. My first time on vacay in Massachusetts. Super historic from American , Salem History and to end the vacay Friday Baseball at Fenway park
  • @bosborne220
Absolutely awesome video!!! You and Tamp Jay are killing it!!!
  • Cris, while you are there, don't forget to pick up things you find on the ground, such as sticks/ rocks, leaves, go into the parks and gather. I found it to be fun. Go over to the wharf---go to the waters edge. You will find wonderful finds...shells, etc. I've been the several times and found that opening up my box of Salem finds in nature is the best things I have in my collection
  • @lastFLnative
