  • You have no idea how many people think of Russians as a monolith, I think Russia is the most unexplored and least understood country in the world yet it's so beautiful and has diverse cultures. Thanks to Eli we learn so much about Russia

I’m an anthropologist and I can only praise your job - depicting and describing local populations so well. That’s so interesting!
  • Thanks Eli! This was one of your best. You’re an ethnologist and a master video editor! I like your use of local music and dance, and even tasting the local food. No need to mess around in Australia and Africa. Your best work is the remote regions of Russia.
  • @PeppieP
What a beautiful piece of work Eli. There are so many ethnic groups in Russia that I did not know of. Sharing who we are and talking is surely the way forward. I thank you so much for sharing more of your beautiful country. x

Your videos are so much better than anything on Discovery Channel. They should pay you millions for your work. ❤

Please continue recording these unique communities. Viewers reap a deeper awareness of Russia’s extraordinary physical & cultural diversity.
  • I am a Caribbean man. I can't imagine living in a place that cold. However, I'm fascinated by the Russian diversity. It really is a blending of Asia and Europe. Like this lady's work. Like to see how she would respond to the carnival culture of south America and the Caribbean.
  • Before discovering your channel, I had NO IDEA how diverse - ethnically and culturally- Russia is. Χαιρετισμούς από την Ελλάδα.
  • @forever_alonis
Eli from Russia, Φορέβερ Αλόνις from Greece approves your videos. I can say I have seen so many parts of Russia from your videos that I would have never seen if it wasn't for you!
  • The beaded head piece reminds me of a lot of Native American beadwork. I cannot express how much I appreciate these glimpses into worlds, without you, I would never see. Thank you, Eli.
  • @Shining237
Eli - ❤️ your 🎥 Out of 193 different ethnic groups in Russia 🇷🇺 - all of them contain their own distinctive culture I've noticed. Beautiful people!! Thank-you for educating us Westerners 👍💞🕊️
  • @CapablePimento
These people remind me a LOT of documentaries I’ve seen about Alaskan and far north Canadian natives which is not surprising I guess.
  • Thanks again for showing us another interesting part of your great Country Russia. You are doing a fabulous thing that promotes mutual respect for each other! Peace Love & Understanding! God Bless.
  • @ggc2963
Love the people there, the food looks delish! Thanks Eli. ❤️
  • @TheStarcruiser
Love seeing these incredible places & people! The Dolgan have some similarities to Native Americans. The sunset was absolutely Magical. Best wishes from Australia Eli!
  • Watching your videos Eli is giving us a panoramic view of other cultures and the World. What I have learned from you( I almost feel you are a teacher and I am the pupil🙂) is the layers of so many cultures and ethic groups. I hope you know this is educational, and all your videos are. You are our eyes to get a glimpse of other parts of this World we would never have known of. ~ Khatanga reminds me a bit of Barrows, Alaska, the most northern "American" village on top of the Arctic. Barrows has 67 days of darkness. I think(?) Barrows has banned alcohol. Thank you Eli for some very amazing videos~~
  • Thanks for going to this place, I like the video especially the part where the woman watches every bite that you chew of the food! did you see how she was looking at you now? every single food or bite you took she was looking at you! - What I really liked is that these people seem happy! and happiness is lacking in many parts of the world you see.....they live in their own little bubble seemingly unbothered by the agonies or going-on's of mainstream cultures and you know what? I really really like that! I really really like how they are simply, close knit but most of all happy!
