I like how valves manufacturing machines say aperture science
  • @CIinbox
You don't need fpsVR. Goto SteamVR settings > video > scroll down and click 'Advanced Frame Timing' > At the bottom bar enable 'Show in headset'. Now you can see your performance on the back of your hand controller. congrats on 100k btw!

This dude called me poor for 17 minutes and 37 seconds.
  • @Nanoytgaming
Amazing video. Would have liked to see a microphone comparison with the other headsets.
  • @FireFoxBancroft
12:59 The reason this happens is because you need a DisplayPort Repeater. DisplayPort cables are only good up to a certain length in meters so a repeater is required to go beyond that. In USD a repeater goes for about $20 US.

Just placed an order for a valve index! ...and a 2080ti, 9700k etc... You only need one kidney right?
  • @JacketCK
The robots in the factory having aperture science as their logo is just amazing lol
  • @noxious_nights
1:13 You can see that some of the manufacturing robots have the Aperture Science logo on them lmao, wanna see their factory so bad

Thanks for the VR tips for the Index. Works a treat and it's my first leap into VR hardware. Received it last night and it's just wow!
  • @clinicallymanic
The headset getting warm is good so the lenses don't fog up

I feel room setup in SteamVR is the most straight forward process available. I always use Advanced Mode which to me is actually the simpler and more accurate way to go about it. Instead of tracing anything at all you just choose the corners of of your playspace with you controllers and SteamVR will draw straight lines connecting them automatically.

"It's hot here in the UK" ~ 1st July ah how naive we were.

Amazing review! Touched on every important detail, very thorough and exactly what I was looking for
  • @activeminecrat
You may need an active extension cord where it repeats the signal instead of just adding more wire
  • @col0s
Best review of the Valve Index, really what i was looking for! Great work!
  • @dustin404
Some people give really biased reviews, but this guy seems really honest with his experience and doesn't seem biased in any way. I was thinking about purchasing one of these in the future and this video really helped with decision making. Thanks!
  • @Nathioz
Just purchased the Headset and Controllers kit. I am super excited to receive it.
  • I like how boxes are done now, now it’s not just opening the box for the thing in the box, with great headsets opening the box is part of the experience, the box becomes a showcase of what you bought, I like that
  • Great video and quite informative! Cheers! I have just now received my Index and have only moments ago opened the box!! The process was so intimidating at first but your instructions are going to be extremely valuable. Kudos and thank you! Thankfully Stonehaven is only 16C at the moment! Perfect weather for gaming!!
