Jack Blocker Impresses With This Bob Dylan Song - American Idol 2024

I almost never replay the songs from Idol….. I have replayed his dozens of times already. He is special.

Jack never picks a wrong song or sings a wrong note. While everyone else is having their up's and down's, Jack is just cruising to the finale.

There's a place for Jacks music in all of our lives. That doesn't happen very often.

Jack Blocker has a great story-telling voice that is different from anyone else. I love the way he sings and puts his spin on it. He has a great smile and seems very comfortable on stage.

There is just something very special about him. He will make it far, no matter if by idol or not.

Jack is sorta like a modern day Dylan. He’s picking songs that he interprets well and gives us a great stage presence. He doesn’t need to run around the stage or make the roof rattle by singing his lungs off. I’m captivated by his style, tone and the way he interprets and sings a song, making it his. There were many Whitney classics sung, and, at first, I thought it was a Whitney dedication night. That said, I love Whitney. I’m glad he chose this Dylan classic. He’s infectious, and just has to continue being himself. Glad to see him in the top 12. No one like him.

This guy always look like he’s just there for the fun and enjoying the ride. Glad he’s still with us, always packing a smile.

This is like my 10th time listening to this. Officially added to my list. Many of this seasons contestants are all truly amazing, but Jack is absolutely effortless. He's truly an artist. Captivates me everytime.

setting a mood, lotta gruff in his vocal, just enough. This was like being wrapped in a warm blanket and tucked in for the night. Very calming with a bit of edge. Touching. Enjoyable.

There’s just something about him that makes me want to hear more. I love his voice and love watching him perform.

That was actually my favorite performance he did so far! He does have that Bob Dylan swagger in him, even if Bob Dylan’s music is not my cup of soda, but Jack’s brilliant tonight!
