This was a great game - really entertaining. The girls really deserved a proper audience, but that was hardly going to happen given that the tournament is being held in a country notorious for its systemic misogyny, where women continue to be discriminated against in just about every way. I can think of plenty of other CONCACAF countries where these matches would have attracted a decent crowd. I understand that it is important to be visible in order to try and improve things in nations themselves, but it's rather hard on the players and sucks for them to have to go out there with very little support.
