Meanwhile, Homelander is dealing with the fallout from his actions and the revelation of his true nature. He is also facing a trial for murder, which he is ultimately acquitted of. The episode sets up several plot threads, including Butcher's declining health, Homelander's growing instability, and the introduction of new characters and challenges for the team. The scene with Neuman taking acid and a bullet to the head was perfect. It shows how Marie on Gen V was able to take Homelander's laser blast and survived.

Zoe was actually one of the scariest things in the show. Genuinely caught me off guard how terrifying her power was. Those poor agents 😭

Seeing how Newman is seemingly invulnerable makes me think of how Marie from Gen V could withstand Homelander’s laser eyes because they both have the same powers. That's why she survived Homelander’s attack and got captured in the season finale. So I don't know why she can't just go up against Homelander, but I mean, he is faster than her and could snap her neck in an instant because Newman has to concentrate on her target to explode them

Loved episode 1. I have a feeling Sage is playing 4D chess. Shes to smart to trust Homelander and know his version of the world wants her in it.
