Apple releasing a product much more expensive than its competitors??? You don't say.

Action Max was such a flagrant ripoff that my dad, upon seeing what they were passing off as “games” went back to Toys R Us with me less than an hour after I bought it to make certain I got a full refund. He was genuinely disgusted.

I swear if I see Wii U on here... Edit: Oh thank god.

The Hyper Scan business model is very similar to the current gen. Buy the base game, then buy dlc, upgrades, and additional crap to complete the experience. Sad, really.

and almost 2 decades after the hyperscan dropped, loot boxes n DLCs remain a problem in games. just remarkable how that concept went from being totally reviled to being the norm.
  • Tiger R-Zone is the worst video game system. LCD games with red and black screens...
  • Saying that these concoles belongs in a museum would be an understatement

I haven’t even heard of these consoles honestly

3DO was an awesome console. It had great exclusives, both western and japanese, and was the first to bring console versions of laserdisc arcade games. Its only problem was the steep price. Being a commercial failure doesn't mean "bad".

Dishonorable Mentions: PC-FX: The PC-FX had drastically lower specs than its Saturn and PlayStation counterparts and lacked a 3D graphics processor, which hurt it out of the gate. The game library was cluttered with pornographic dating sim games because of NEC’s liberal licensing policies for the system. CDTV: This was Commodore’s far worse competitor to the Philips CD-I. The system specs were identical to the Amiga 500 and its CDXL-format discs could only hold up to 30 minutes of video that was of lesser quality than even VHS.

“And I want a Nokia N-Gage” “No you don’t, it went defunct in 2006!” “Actually, it went defunct in 2007.”

Man, video game commercials from the 90s were completely insane

I was working at a second hand shop and needed to test an n-gage. I heard of it's reputation but It had some interesting games and thought "maybe it can be one of those 'so bad it's good' thing?",not knowing that I'm about to have one of the most miserable moments in my life. Like already said Controlls where atrocious and i needed to take that thing apart to switch games but also the displey was so small you had sometimes problems seeing what even happens on screen plus the games weren't even on the main display rather a subfolder(I needed 2 min simply to find the game). I had even pity with the console itself, such a disaster was that.

*raises hand* I even had the Pioneer LD player were the laser switched to the top/button so I didn't have to flip the disk. Had a nice sized anime library back then.

I remeber dropping coin on the Sega 32X and was slapping the hell out of myself soon after.
