  • So Kate was the B-52's answer to Ray Manzarek: bass keyboard, organ, and backing vocals--in heels, no less.

There will never be another band like the B-52s! :face-red-heart-shape::eyes-pink-heart-shape::trophy-yellow-smiling:
  • SUCH a great line up!! Vocals on recordings amazing. Guitar matched perfect. Loved to have seen them early on. Some of the old vinyl was really well done. It is everything a garage band aspires and no one like them. Early new wave aspired a CBGB gig as a stepping stone as scene was so small at first. New wave was almost all British with handful of exceptions outside of payola.

such an underrated band, they really created their own sound, a mix of sixties guitar beach music with new wave influences, wish I could have gone to that concert, it must have been amazing to see them at the time they were about to hit
