I put a rubber band on the end of tooth brushes that are used for cleaning.
  • @missivonne
I love all of these FABULOUS ideas. But nothing beats the image of the missing bread tags and missing socks living their best lives on a commune. Every time I think of that, I get happy. Thank you!

I totally agree with your "rant" about toilets. 😊 I've always felt the same way about stoves. Too many nooks and crannies in hard to clean places.

May I add a tip? I flip to Nov. or Dec. when I get a new calendar in Jan. for the upcoming year. I write in Nov. or Dec. (whichever works best) what items I need for the holidays. Napkins or tableware or gift tags-those types of things. So when I flip to the months with special holidays I can purchase what I need because by then I will have definitely forgotten what I needed, and the items are listed on my new calendar.

Love the way you get straight to your content. Awesome collection of tips.

You deserve YouTubes best household tips award! Everyone of your tips were great👏👏👏
  • Thanks for so many helpers. My favorite it using the dish wash sponge and handle thing for cleaning in the shower. That is going on my list of things to pick up at the Dollar Tree. Another was the glue stick....how simple, yet why had I not thought of it. I subscribed so I wouldn't miss any other hints and tricks. See, you can teach an old dog new tricks....I'm 84 and learned several new tricks today.

The dry erase marker also works great on bathroom mirrors to give yourself little reminders in the morning/evening!

My favorite hack you shared today is using upside-down command hooks on your kitchen garbage can to keep the bag from slipping down inside your can. And I store my plastic shopping bags inside a Rubbermaid cereal container - easy to put in/take out, and it takes up very little space.

I use wool dryer balls in the dryer. No buying/nor making dryer sheets. I use three. The last for ages. Like years. I highly recommend them.
  • @KathrynSnyder
The bag in water to take out air is my new favorite hack!!!❤
  • I love her pace, her lack of small talk, her occasional observations (it’s 2023 Why do we have all these crevices on a toilet?)
  • @kathyjunge7732
Rice in the sock also works in the microwave for a neck/ shoulder warmer and relaxer.
  • For toilets and toothbrush, maybe in the us it isn't available but in Poland there is something that in my translation is unclipped toilet seat, basically its just what it's called, you can unclipped seat and wash it in bathtub or shower, its not very common but i could not live without it since i discovered that
  • I have never, ever saved a home hacks video - until now. The first one I plan to use is the heavy duty broom in the showers. We have stone floors in them and I scrub them by hand with a small brush. I'm 72 and it's not always easy for me. There were a couple of others - like the over-the-door hangar for outside and that glue stuff to keep things from sliding.

I do feel like the socks and bread tags on the way out to the commune took all the small forks and all the Tupperware lids!
  • I can remember using wax paper on the sliding board at the playground to make it slide faster. There was just enough wax on the wax paper to make it really slippery.
  • @madmommy
I bake my eggs using a muffin tin. Because I’m the designated deviled egg maker of our extended family, I can get many eggs done at once and they peel beautifully. 325 preheated oven, bake for 30 minutes. Ice bath. Done.
  • @mrs.d1673
I agree with your complaints about nooks and crannies of cleaning. As we built our house, everything I chose was based on how easy it was to clean. Also, we bought one piece toilets, which are a lot easier to clean

Those caster wheels are genius, need those on my kitchenaid!
