The Paul Minifigure looks more like the version from 1984, and I like it.

I adore the set but it’s never quite clicked how enormous it is

Fun Frog Fact: The hairy frog has "claws" that pierce the skin. These claws are actually made of bone and are mended to the toe bone. When the frog needs them, it purposefully breaks it's bones so that the claws pierce through the skin. This is why it's also called the Wolverine Frog. Snikt! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hairy_frog

Honestly, the Paul in this set kinda looks more like Kyle MacLachlan than Timothee! Maybe the designer likes the 1984 Dune film too! :D

I had no knowledge of Dune prior to the reveal of this set.... within a week of the reveal I had seen the movie 3 times and read several of the books. Lego: giving me new hyperfixations since 2007

Aunt Petunia's hairpiece (in the same color, dark brown) is such a better fit for Paul, I have no idea why they went with the black Anakin hair.

I would absolutely love more 18+ one off sets like this that are good display models with a couple of cool movement/action features for loads of different brands/IPs They could make them for IPs that would otherwise normally be inappropriate for kids because the entire range is targeted at 18+
  • This is making me want Lego to make a spinner from Blade Runner. Great analysis of the minifigures! Hope to pick this set up myself

I would not be shocked if we got Shai Hulud and the rest of the major cast: Blue Eye Stillsuit Paul, Feyd Rautha, Alia (if they don’t cut her), Stilgar, Thufir, and maybe Rabban. Potentially Emperor Shaddam and Princess Irulan.
  • @JuliendeGreling
Umbridges hair piece in black would be perfect in black for him. Or the lego piece 6194414 in black could work pretty well too.
  • @D4C_Gaming
The only other Dune set I really feel like would be especially great to have is Paul’s fight with Feyd-Rautha, so that we can get a stillsuit Paul with blue eyes.

There have actually been smaller beard molds than the newer style santa beard, the ones that come to mind are the moustache (part number 15439) and the prospector beard (15501), although getting an entirely new niche beard mold would be wishful thinking
  • @Sprinklespark08
I don't know anything about Dune, but that one guy's torso is almost perfect to make Roronoa Zoro!
  • @TM-ii2zu
This set is as exciting as Rivendell but with a manageable price tag. As a fan of the book and movie the minifigures are near perfection. If this set is enough of a hit maybe we would get a Feyd Ratha and bro or some of those Sardakar or Harkonnen troops - but that is wishful thinking.
  • This set was such a delightful surprise. I have been anticipating it for quite a while now and I think it does deliver but doesn’t quite meet all my expectations and as great as those figs are it still seems quite overpriced for me. So as much as I may not be picking it up at full retail price I’ll definitely have my eye out for a discount. Great vid and great job showcasing this excellent figures
  • @StoneDomino
I had no idea the Dune set came with Willy Wonka AND Paul!
  • @JuliendeGreling
you could also swap duncans and letos torsos. Leto would then be from the yueh betrayal scene and you would have an awesome duncan minifig for a final sacrifice moc
  • @PS-it1dm
The Paul Atreides minifigure reminds me more about Kyle MacLachlan from Lynch Dune than Timothee.
  • @M0torsagmannen
cant wait for my birthday, gonna get this for myself then since it comes out very short before. very excited to build it and try out all the mechanics, and i love the wide spectre of figures
