    Tidal Tempest US Present is objectively my favorite version of Tidal Tempest because of the sheer amount of funk. This is equally as funky and smooth.

    Honestly, the US soundtrack for Sonic CD is very good. Every track matches the timezone and the boss theme sounds very threatening (even though it is pretty meme-worthy), and the intro/ending theme - Sonic Boom - really gets you motivated to thwart Robotnik’s plans and save Little Planet. And not only that, it’s also home to THE theme for Metal Sonic (yes, I’m talking about US Stardust Speedway Bad Future). SEGA should really reuse that version of Stardust Speedway more often instead of the overrated Japanese version (not to say the Japanese version of Sonic CD has a bad OST, because it isn’t. I mean, it has some great songs - Palmtree Panic, Cosmic Eternity, and Quartz Quadrant to name a couple - it just gets way too much credit when the songs don’t really match the environment).
